Maybe Michael Jackson really was bad (insert sounds of Jheri curl whipping back and forth).
The FBI apparently thought so. The federal agency recently released the fallen pop star's files following a Freedom of Information Act request from the Associated Press. Among the revelations are that authorities were afraid that Jackson's 2004 child molestation trial would be an easy target for terrorists and that there was no proof that Jackson molested children despite the fact that officials traveled to the Philippines to interview his former employees.
According to the Associated Press:
The FBI monitored Jackson for more than a decade, but the files contain no major revelations about his private life and the bureau apparently never developed any solid evidence against him. ...In March 2004, the Santa Barbara County district attorney's office reached out to the FBI, seeking help in developing a strategy to prosecute Jackson for molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor in the singer's home. Jackson was acquitted of all 14 counts against him in what was one of the most widely followed cases in history. The FBI reviewed case notes from local authorities and examined 16 computers taken from Jackson's home. Nothing notable was described as being found on the hard drives, though parts of the files are redacted.
Jackson's former lawyer said the files provide further proof that his client was not a pedophile."He was not a criminal, and he was not a pedophile," Tom Mesereau told the Associated Press. "The fact that so many agencies investigated him and couldn't find anything proves he was completely innocent."
Much of Jackson's life was a circus. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if some of those redacted pages contained a discussion on whether Jackson had hosted aliens or whether his moonwalk was a weapon of mass destruction.
But Jackson's lawyer is right: The singer had his day in court and was found not guilty of child molestation charges. In this country, you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Sympathy for Jackson and a new appreciation of his tremendous talents are running incredibly high after his death.
However, like Jackson's insistence that he only had one or two plastic surgeries, something was not right when it came to his relationship with children.
In a now infamous documentary, Jackson admitted that he thought it was okay for a 40-year-old man to sleep in a bed with kids who were not his. What was even more disconcerting was that Jackson continued to have relationships with children despite the problems he was having. I'm not sure what parent would leave their kids with a man they didn't really know, even if he was Michael Jackson.
Further proof of Jackson's poor judgment came after his death. The fact that he was taking a cocktail of drugs while resisting help from a nurse who urged him to try natural methods to help him to sleep cannot be ignored.
That said, it seems that local authorities and the FBI were a little too consumed with Jackson. I wonder whether authorities would have traveled to the other side of the planet or spent 10 years pursuing child molestation charges against someone who wasn't as famous.
Who's bad?

I guess the FBI was too busy investigating Michael Jackson to prevent 19 known terrorists from being granted VISAs by the US Government to enter the USA, roam freely, take flying lessons and hijack our airliners. It sure looks to me like the FBI is too busy wasting time, dollars and manpower investigating people like Jackson and they have no time left to protect the USA anymore today. Think about it. The US Government gave VISAS to 19 known terrorists, all of their names were on the terrorist watch lists, but at the same time they were all too busy investigating Michael Jackson to prevent 9/11/01 from happening. That is sad indeed.

The problem surfaced 5000 years ago after Noah's ark landed. Ham, the father of the blacks was cursed by his father because of his incestuous attack on Noah. That curse is still viable and always will be. That doesn't mean a black man is beyond redemption; it does mean however, without Jesus as savior in their hearts and lives, the curse will forever be the victor.

After reading all of these comments, I just want to say I am 57 years old, white, male and a great fan of Michael Jackson. Not all whites hate, matter of fact, I was taught from birth to love all, forgive and to let live. I loved Michael Jackson and the fact he was black didn't have anything to do with his situation. He simply was one of a kind, had more talent than 99.9% of all people in music. Envy drove both whites and blacks crazy, they wanted what he had, but God only gave it to him. His father is the reason for his troubles. Exposing him to sex at 2 years old, beating him, making him feel small, all out of the same envy. The world is better because Michael was here, so I guess since Joe fathered him, he had his role, but if anyone made a pac with the devil, Joe Jackson was the one, not Michael. I never read or saw Michael get mad, use bad language, blame anyone other than his father, and only under pressure to do it then. The sad part about Michael Jackson whole life is that he never grew up, he remained in early childhood himself, mainly to protect himself, which is natural. His talent was so much greater than all of his brothers that they envied him as well. Such a sad tale, such a sad story, but to listen to these stories here, you would think these other men were in the same shape as Michael, they were not. Michael lived and died as one who never understood adulthood, look at any interview, any relationship, it is very clear. I pray for his children, his mother, his sister, and even for all those who judge him and me for that matter. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ came and got him, and I thank God I will see him again. Maybe he will teach me the moon walk. He was such a great person, so giving, so caring and so much love to share and it seemed he never quite got to anyone who cared or understood him. I live near Atlanta, and I have seen evil. Ray Lewis killed and was freed, the guy who killed a Judge, court reporter, federal agent and others cost the taxpayers in Fulton county 10 million dollars and what does the jury do, give him life. I will never understand why this happened or why the federal government did not try him after the state allowed him to live. Regardless of your skin color, bad is bad and good is good and I thank the good Lord I was taught to see the good, react to it and let all this other stuff go. Maybe you would like to do the same, just pray for the Lord to take your hate away, and with faith, it is all gone. I thank the Lord I got to hear Michael sing and dance and entertain, he will be greatly missed and I hope more comes out about how they found nothing at all to prove him to be nothing other than the king of pop and a child of God. Merry Christmas everyone.
