Leave it to the twisted minds of FOX News to criticize adultery and bash a religion at the same time.
On FOX News Sunday, Brit Hume, a part-time news analyst, suggested that disgraced golf hero and Buddhist Tiger Woods seek redemption in Christianity.
"I don't think that faith [Buddhism] offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith," Hume said Sunday.
The license of free speech is broad, but using it on a televised news program to proselytize is way out of bounds. And exactly where does Hume get off by saying that Buddhism, which is practiced by an estimated 500 million people worldwide, comes up short when it comes to forgiveness.
Whether it is talking about an alleged Obama terrorist fist-bump or using misleading footage to increase numbers at conservative rallies, is it a coincidence that virtually every stupid, insensitive and flat-out wrong comment uttered by a news commentator these days comes courtesy of FOX News?
Now we have so-called news commentators playing "my religion is better than yours" on national television. Incredible.
It's time people realize that FOX News isn't news. It's entertainment. And in the spirit of preserving truth in advertising, it's time for FOX to drop the notion that it provides "fair and balanced" news coverage of events.
Tiger Woods may have disgraced himself with his womanizing, but he did not disgrace his religion. Let's leave that out of the commentary.

Good thing Tiger isn't a Muslim, THAT is an intolerant religion. Does anyone know what Buddhists think? That is what Brit Said..he said that he didn't think they were as forgiving..big deal. Let the Buddhists prove him wrong.
If Tiger were a Muslim, he would be stoned to death.....oh, wait..that is only if he were a Woman.

LOVE IT! I LOVE it that Mr. Hume overcame the 'political incorrectness' in saying Jesus Christ's name! Funny, I bet most of the people criticizing him also celebrated CHRISTmas - just the 'gifts' part, not the real reason.

Perhaps the godless left need to get acquainted with Acts 4:12: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." For those of you who want to worship man made religions, the bible promises that you will stand before Jesus. See Philippians 2:10-11. Brit, I admire your courage to profess the truth!

Yes, my stupid one. You may quote the F--k'ing bible all you want and spend all your life time reading it; however due to your stupidity and ignorance you will never understand its meaning.
Do you really think that by doing so will you make you a better person--man/woman/father/child/good citizen?
And by the way, you for got to reallize that the bible you spend time reading was written by human just like you. They are not words of GOD.

I wonder if the writer of this article is a buddhist.
Normally, the irreligious left pretend to get wrapped up in religious political correctness when it comes to screaming about FOX or a conservative -- aside from their usual hate of Christianity.
Just look what they did to Ann Coulter over a comment that was biblically correct (perfected Jews).
We need more free speech with regard to Jesus Christ in this country. The new protocol needs to be if the left will rage about it or not.
Christians are Constitutionally protected to promote their religion just as atheists and buddhists are guaranteed the right to profess theirs. This is a Christian nation founded by Christians, discovered by Christians, and is free because of pre-American Christians.
If you love your freedoms in this or any country, thank a Christian -- because Buddhists and Atheists had nothing to do with it.

Thank God for men like Brit Hume. I think that his comment was meant to be a hertfelt invitation to introduce someone in deep trouble to Christ. I appreciate the fact that we do still live in a country where we are allowed to believe in whatever we choose. I hope that Tiger Wood reaches out and ask Christ for help, I can asuue Tiger that Christ won't air his dirty laundry, He'll help him clean it.

Bill Maher said, "American's are stupid! The writer of this article is one of those I think Bill Maher was referencing! He's just one of about half of America!

Way to go, Brit. We Christians need to be bold just like you were. I appreciate your comments and believe it to be expert advice for Tiger. I get sick of Christians being the only group that is not 'supposed' to display our beliefs although we should have every right. The mere mention of Jesus' name brings so many reactions, I am so glad my faith and trust in in Him.

Once again the retarded right wing at Fox have no clue what they are talking about. Does a real news channel attack people's religions? Last month Glen Beck said the name of the Ganges river sounded like a disease. But that's what you get when you hire people with no higher level of education. This is the same retarded anchor man that cries for his country on TV. I vote that the Native Indians put every last one of these boat people back on the Mayflower and throw every last religious zealot bastard out and reclaim their land and return to the true nature worship religions of "their land".
