A family in New Mexico is suing funeral homes in New Mexico and Utah because they received their loved one's brain in unsealed bags. The families claim that they didn't realize the contents of the bags until they smelled a foul odor. Teen Kept in Closet Testifies
Bernell McCall, the 15-year-old boy who was allegedly kept in a closet, testified in court, saying his mother (LaRhonda McCall) and her boyfriend (Steve Hamilton) beat him when he stole food from the kitchen, doused him with rubbing alcohol and set him aflame, and choked him until he passed out. LaRhonda faces 33 counts of child abuse, while Hamilton faces 24. LaRhonda was convicted of manslaughter for starving her 2-year-old daughter to death in 1995. [Fox News]
