According to the police account of his confession, Dennis Allaben killed his wife, Maureen Allaben, Sunday night in Atlanta. Allaben wrapped his wife's body and then placed it in the back of his blue pick-up truck and drove to Virgina, where he told relatives that he had killed his wife. He left the couple's two children with relatives and fled from Virgina, heading back to Atlanta.
Tuesday morning, Allaben walked in to the Clayton County Police Headquarters and turned himself in. "He just showed up at [Clayton County] police headquarters and said he'd killed his wife," O'Brien said. Police then recovered Maureen Allaben's body. Police reports did not specify if the Allabens' children were aware of their mother's body in the back of the truck. "It's shocking," said Jennifer Boyanton, whose children went to school with the Allaben's young boy and girl. "They were a wonderful family. ... She could light up a room."
The Monique show issued a statement after the incident broke into the news:
"We are all saddened by Maureen's passing but we also rejoice in having had the opportunity to know her sweet, soulful spirit. Live each day to the fullest."
We wish Maureen and her family the best as they overcome this horrible tragedy.

This is a sad thing that happen. My prayers goes out to the family and friends. I lost a friend on Jan. 1, 2010 also, because she was starting her new year off without him. He than left Monroe, LA and went to Texas like nothing happen, but thank God he was caught. We later found out that he had murder his first wife. Ladies and gentlemen if you are in a abusive relationship please get out why you can, and to the abusers be a lady or man and let them go. DON'T MURDER THEM!!! May God Bless..

To Monique and company: don't take this the wrong way BUT, I happend to stop and watch your show a few times and noticed that you never have white guests on. No other T.V. show is as racist as yours. Now like I said, don't take it the wrong way because if we want to come together as a human race and be good, shows like yours need to make steps forward and not remain oppressed like you. Come on Monique, obviously your an intelligent woman, step forward girl.
to reply: If I'm out of line let me know, I just want things to get better so our kids won't have a negative attitude against different races.
