It keeps getting deeper by the second. I was on CNN the other day to discuss the recent incident during which Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid stated that President Barack Obama might have a chance to become president because he is "light-skinned" and doesn't speak with a "negro dialect" (the video here is here if you want to watch). But the real bombshell came today when I read about the statements allegedly made by former President Bill Clinton:
According to reports in a new book to be released this week, Bill Clinton told Ted Kennedy that, "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee," referring to then candidate Barack Obama. Clinton also griped that Kennedy was only supporting Obama for president, because he is black.
To say that the black community should be offended by Bill Clinton's words would be an understatement. If the allegations in this book (called "Game Change") are true, this is going to destroy the already wounded relationship between the Clinton family and the African-American community. But as I mentioned on CNN early in the campaign (back when no one thought Barack Obama could even challenge Clinton for the presidency), African Americans have been awakened by the idea that we no longer have to have a "sugar substitute," and can instead taste the very real sweetness that comes with having meaningful access to the White House. Although I have critiqued Obama on multiple occasions, I am quite proud of his accomplishment.
For many years, Bill Clinton proudly accepted the false label of "first black president," which offended real black men in America who wondered if someone who looks like us could ever be considered capable enough to have that kind of power. Many in the black community also felt patronized and disrespected by the Clintons, who almost seemed to feel that they were doing us a favor by even caring the least bit about African-American issues. Hillary's "Gone with the Wind" attitude began to show itself as she unraveled during the Democratic primary, using nasty racial references to undermine Obama's bid to the presidency. Bill put icing on the cake by publicly comparing Obama's campaign to that of Jesse Jackson in 1984.
Well, a new day has come. Black people are no longer interested in second-class citizenship. We are Americans too and expect the respect that comes with that status. Now Bill, please go get me a cup of coffee - I take my coffee black.

Where's that silly black woman who coined the '1st black president' phrase? She hiding out. I knew she was nuts in the 1990s when she coined that phrase. Bill Clinton sent black jobs overseas, blocked haitians while accepting cubans, ignored Rwanda, disrespected Sista Soulja, ended welfare for single black women with children knowing those children would go unattended, etc. Yet so many black, psycho-sado-masochists were just kissing this animals feet. Let me tell you black people, I love you but you folks take the cake. What will you all do next? I'm gonna do what I can to deprogram you. The white man got you wrapped around his little finger. He can enslave, rape and kill you and you still love him? Damn yall.

Maybe that silly lady was on to something. Your communications toward Blacks seem to be as disdaining as Bill's have been taken to be.

@Calvin Robinson - I'm dark black and have always loved black people and fought for them. I know how serious our situation is and what that silly lady is despicable. When I saw blacks acting like fools for Clinton and even sat back mute, as Hillary said "they treat us in the Senate (dems) like we're on a plantation & YOU know what I mean" and no black in the audience said anything, I was disgusted. Look at how are young blacks are killing each other - their guardians are doing something wrong and noone calls them out. I'm calling out my people cause I love them and evidently, too many of you just hate each other. So Calvin, no disrespect stated. You evidently don't seem to care as deeply and passionately as I do.

Very well put. I could'nt have said it better myself. You can't wake these Black folk up. They are sleep. While everyone is making money, all they can think about is bull shit, like, someone called me out of my name. In the mean while, we face 9 digit (smile) unemployement. Where is their 'BRAIN'.

The best thing that Bill Clinton could have done was to end welfare for women who had babies with no visible means of supporting. He forced many of them to go to work. A greater number of the welafare recipients were white due to the sheer number of the white race. So Sending people to work helped this country to pay off the deficit and produce a surplus for the first time in years.
Clinton may have meant what he said as a dig and may have been racially motivated. But face it; he was right. Blacks have systematically been kept out of higher office simply because of race.
What you don't understand is that welfare was never meant as a hand up to the receivers. It was meant to be exactly what it was: A foot on the neck of the person on the dole. There was no easy way out of that situation. They received money, but were not allowed to put back any for a future day when they could become self reliant. Many people liked this way of life. They had absolutely no responsibility for taking care of their own families. many welfare recipients were surrogate parents. The had the baby and We, the taxpayers took care of them financially. The taxpayer made certain that they were fed, clothed and many times nurutred since many of the welfare mothers were strung out on drugs.
Don't forget that for the most part, the majority of whites think and speak exactly as Clinton spoke. Read some of the comments on these boards and you will get a very good idea of how racist the average white person is.

Care communicates itself through words of encouragement. Frustration through words of disdain. When care leads to frustration it is no longer effective.
People are clumsy from time to time. Clumsily we say things that we think will be homeruns and often it turns out to be a complete flop. Could not Hillary and Biil be guilty more of awkward ignorance than of all out black hatred and stereotyping? Could not the blacks who like the Clintons simplhy be exercising patience with imperfect people who are trying as best they can to do something good? If your answer to both questions is no, then please tell me why not?
Apparently I mis-took your "passion" for black disdain. My apologies. But couldnt you be mis-taking the Clintons remarks as well? The Black response to them as well?
Why are you right and all those Blacks wrong? Why can you see so clearly and so many other Blacks are blind?
Only because you think so my friend. I try to be as confident in others as I am in myself.

@Calvin - I just wanted to say that although I am quick with a response and opinionated, that I've been paying close attention to things for decades and I believe me ideas are well reasoned. You asked why am I this way but I don't see the relevance of that question. I can assure you that I'm teachable. If someone can show where any of my views are wrong, tell me and I'll change. I'd have to answer NO to you questions because B Clinton & H Clinton, both lawyers, are seasoned pols with decades of experience. They know the power of words and say just what they mean. In terms of their black followers, all I can say is this system we live in has a media component. That component has an agenda that is anti-black. So if a black person listens to them and takes what they say to heart, lots of the time you end up with a black sadomasochist. Stockholm Syndrome 101. Lastly Calvin, my thoughts are reason (no ego-driven emotionalism here).

A few years back a black bartender stated that President Johnson who trusted and confided in him said "boy regardless of what position you hold, and how rich you are, you will always be a black man to them and that is the way it is to them(whitepeople)"
Do some research on who this man is and if he is still alive. He worked at a bar very close to the whitehouse.
I must add, that even though the president got to trust and confide in this black bartender, he always called him boy. I guess sothern whites even called their own sons "boy" so no insult was probably meant by the late president.
However, to my black brothers and sisters, stop killing each other and stop being fooled by the white man and plan for a major change in mindset before divine intervention.
