Two arrest warrants have been issued for Katt Williams for an alleged incident that occurred on November 12, 2009, at a Four Seasons Hotel in Fulton County, Ga. The warrant for battery and false imprisonment were issued, after Williams allegedly punched someone in the face.
According to the police report, Merion Powers, the alleged victim, claims that he went to the hotel to speak with Williams about a debt that was owed. When Powers sensed things heating up, he took out his cell phone and turned on the recorder.
According to the report, "Mr. Williams was on audio recording stating that he did physically strike Mr. Power's once in the nose" and that Powers' nose "did show signs of swelling." Katt Williams was not arrested for the incident, which took place that evening.
My take on the Katt Williams arrest warrant?
Katt Williams is in trouble, probably more than most of us think. This is the second major incident involving Williams within the last two months, as he was arrested for burglary during the same month. The brother needs to realize that he is a major celebrity and a powerful brand. That means that people are going to set you up in any way that they can. If you are not smart enough to handle your success with grace and intelligence, you'll soon find that your best days are behind you.

Dang Katt, not again. The sad part about it is that this brother is not a dummy. Anyone who really listens to him knows that. Hopefully he will get his life together.

I have seen Katt Williams on Comedy Central a couple times and thought he was as good as any of the other commedians. I hope he learns how to be a good citizen soon so he can continue his comedy career. It would be a shame to waste his talent by throwing it away. I hope he gets the help he needs to straignten up and "get his act together".

Maybe I'm reading a different story. I don't know for what reason he broke into the caretakers cottage, mayebe like he said he was doing some "caretaking." We don't know. But it is my opinion that the man who accused him of steeling then went to his hotel room probably with some BS wanted to be assaulted. A man is a man. Maybe this comintator needs to check hiself and his opinions at thr door.

Gotta agree-Katt needs to stop and get a grip. It's a shame to see talent go to waste. I'm starting to think there should be classes for people in the spotlight, you'd think their agents would arrange something to hammer into their heads what they can and cannot do. Sure, alot of it seems like common sense, but it should be reinforced, since ignorance of the law is not considered an excuse.

I think that the comment that "people are going to set you up in any way that they can" is a complete copout. Katt is a guy who sets HIMSELF up to be in controversial situations. Blaming your own faults on those "other people" is a great way of dodging responsibility for what you yourself create!
