To mark the one-year anniversary of her husband being elected president of the United States, Michelle Obama has been honored with a wax replica at Madame Tussauds' London museum, where she stands beside President Barack Obama in the oval office. One can see both figures until mid-April, and then they will be moved permanently to Tussaud's Thailand museum. [ABC News]

Haitians Flee City for Countryside
Many Haitians are relocating to the countryside, as global aid has been unsuccessful in mitigating the hunger and violence occurring in the capital, Port-au-Prince. In the countryside, earthquake victims are hoping to at least be able to farm, therefore stemming the hunger and sense of helplessness they are experiencing in the city. Bus fare is obscenely high because gasoline is scarce. It is reported that Haitians looking to relocate must pay "three days wages" for a seat. Thousands of Haitians would rather bite the bullet, though, and pay the price in order to sustain and protect their families. [Washington Post]

According to a Pew Research Center report that will be released today, men are benefiting the most in marriage. For the past 40 years, women have been acquiring more education and earning more money than their counterparts, causing men to receive the bigger economic boost and financial security in a marriage. Historically, it has been women who received the most security from marrying higher-earning husbands. [AP]

Nigeria Reports First Confirmed Swine-Flu Death
Nigeria has reported its first swine flu death and confirmed 11 swine flu cases nationwide. Federal Minister of Health Babatunde Osotimehin said that the death involved a 38-year-old woman who tested positive for the H1N1 virus. Another individual is suspected of being infected with the virus, but the victim died before reports could be confirmed. [NJ.com]
