I hope by posting Rochelle Denise Battle and many other missing blacks in our country that this will bring up awareness and bring back the missing and to have some type of closure for the many families? I can't imagine what her family is going through? With the info that was given, maybe there might be some hope? It would be nice, if BV would have a blog named, "Black and Missing"? What do you think BV? I don't hear and a lot of people of all color very seldom hear about the black and missing in the MEDIA? Or maybe be named, "People of Color and Missing"?
I see on HLN, Nancy Grace always concentrates on certain missing children, but recently upgraded a lil on black missing children? I like to see more media step up to the plate and show more Black and Missing on their networks. The Internet is a good source and if BV would be the first to do somethin like this, YOU COULD BE SAVING MANY LIVES with your info of the missing WORLD WIDE? I pray EVERYBODY that is missing comes home safe and has a positive ending!

Unfortunately this is a story or headline that has become way too common, and I ask the question why? Why are black girls not important enough to show up on the news 24 hours after they are missing? What makes them not equal to their counterparts like, Polly Klaus or Elizabeth Smart? This is very troubling, as I am raising a young black girl and wonder if something as tragic as this was to happen, would there be any attention given to her, or would I need to be apart of the right circles?

There is a blatant difference regarding missing minority children. BV started this blog titled Black and Missing about 2-3 months ago. What I don't understand is why media outlets like BET or TVone don't take an interest regarding our missing children. This fact is a crying shame!
