A unidentified man was arrested last week, when he reportedly called police to notify them of a robbery--his own.
The Flint, Mich., resident told local authorities he had been held up at gunpoint when all he was trying to do was buy crack cocaine with a credit card.
Police records state that the victim also mentioned a 2003 Chevy Malibu had been stolen. Authorities later discovered the vehicle in question was listed in their reports as stolen from the nearby town of Lapeer, about 20 miles away from Flint.
The man was considered a prime suspect with regards to the stolen vehicle and was later taken to the county jail.
Stupid is, as stupid does!

I lived in Flint for a while. This story, while entertaining, is no real surprise. There are 3rd & 4th generation unemployed people everywhere. Welfare is a career; there is no hope of it ever regaining its former glory. It's a depressing place. I left and really don't have much sympathy for those who chose to stay there.
