Jamal Rashead Trulove, out of Oakland, was convicted of murder by a San Francisco jury this week. The conviction came from a murder that took place in 2007. He was convicted of first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Trulove was once a contestant on "I Love New York 2," a popular show on VH-1. Prosecutors argue that Trulove shot 28-year-old Seu Kuka at a San Francisco housing project. He was arrested in Monterey County on a $5 million warrant in October 2008. Trulove shot the first episodes of "I Love New York 2" only three weeks before Kuka was murdered.
Trulove appeared on the first episode, but was dismissed for fighting. He is set to face a minimum of 50 years in prison, when he is sentenced on March 19

If there are any young people reading this article, please accept my apology for the comments of these few, who I am sure are all over the legal age. These are the very words NOT NEEDED to influence our young people to do right and to have pride in doing so. I am aware that these are the type of words that may have helped to create and fuel your frustrations. And, little do those folks know that these are not YOUR issues or views, but theirs. Some stale rhetoric that they will keep going,,,,, ,,on and on about. Instead of addressing you young folks issues, which very well may be somewhat different in nature. However,We do need to drop all of this ignorance and focus on you and your (our) futures. Not the past. It's a new day. How many even know what you young people's challenges are in this time of 2010. We need to finally drop all this nonsense and find out what you're about so that we can have input and maybe teach you something....that's not negative. That relates to YOU and YOUR issues! Stop blaming and feuding like children. Sounds like any one of you could shoot to kill the other! What are you teaching?

Kids don't need pandering to, they need discipline. There may be a whole host of new distractions and situations, but the basics remain the same. That would include a basic knowledge of right and wrong, respect for fellow people (common courtesy), and a sense of being responsible for one's actions.
This is the foundation that is missing from today's youth. I blame parents that have brought babies into this world without the tools necessary to provide them with the basics needed to live in society.
