Reality TV Show Jamal Rashead Trulove Contestant Convicted of Murder

, out of Oakland, was convicted of murder by a San Francisco jury this week. The conviction came from a murder that took place in 2007. He was convicted of first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Trulove was once a contestant on "I Love New York 2," a popular show on VH-1.

Prosecutors argue that Trulove shot 28-year-old Seu Kuka at a San Francisco housing project. He was arrested in Monterey County on a $5 million warrant in October 2008. Trulove shot the first episodes of "I Love New York 2" only three weeks before Kuka was murdered.

Trulove appeared on the first episode, but was dismissed for fighting. He is set to face a minimum of 50 years in prison, when he is sentenced on March 19
