Professor Killer Reportedly Went to Shooting Range Before Murders
Amy Bishop's husband, James Anderson, said that he and his wife had gone to the gun range, where they practiced shooting before Bishop shot six colleagues during a faculty meeting. Three of the victims were killed last Friday on the University of Alabama-Huntsville campus; the other three remain in critical condition. A survivor, Joseph Ng, who was present during the killings, said the meeting was so routine at first that he worked on a manuscript. [Yahoo News]
Two Brothers Shot in Church
On Sunday, two brothers, 14 and 19, were shot at five times in their neighborhood church in Richmond, Calif. While the young men were hurt, they survived their injuries. Investigators are trying to determine who the shooters are but initially had difficulty getting leads due to witnesses' fear of retaliation. When the shooting occurred, the church was full with worshipers. Many are wondering how such an audacious act of violence could happen in their sanctuary. [Boston.com]
