As if the fallout from the 2006 racially charged case in which a black exotic dancer accused three white Duke Lacrosse players of raping her wasn't enough, according to WRAL news station in North Carolina, the accuser, Crystal Mangum, 33, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. last night, after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend, set his clothes on fire in a bathtub and threatened to stab him.

Officers at the scene said Mangum gave them a fake name and age when they responded to a domestic violence call from one of the three children, 3, 9, and 10 years old, who lived in the house. Two officers reported that while they were in the house, Mangum threatened her boyfriend and then went into a bathroom and set his clothes on fire. Police called the fire department, the fire was put out, and no one was injured.

Mangum was booked on assault charges, arson and attempted murder.

In 2006, she claimed that three white members of the Duke lacrosse team trapped her inside a bathroom and sexually assaulted her during a lacrosse party where she had been invited to dance. The players were indicted on rape and other charges on the basis of her allegations but were eventually exonerated after North Carolina's attorney general dismissed the case.
