Being Happy Could Help Your Heart
After monitoring more than 1,700 Canadians who had no heart problems for 10 years, researchers found that those who had happy dispositions were unlikely to have heart problems, while participants who were grumpy or disgruntled were more likely to suffer heart problems. It was also found that happier people tended to have a healthier lifestyle. Not naturally a cheerful person? Researchers say pretend; it's good for your heart. [Washington Post]

One Republican Tries for Bipartisanship
Republican Sen. Judd Gregg is looking forward to working with President Barack Obama regarding health care reform. In spite of the obstinate stance many of his fellow Republicans have taken toward health care reform, the New Hampshire senator has taken it upon himself to draft up a new bill that bridges both Democrat and Republican ideals. Whether Gregg's ideas are being considered is yet to be seen. Gregg has not yet been invited to President Obama's health summit next week, and the president has been quite clear that he does not wish to scrap the bill that was passed in the House and Senate by Democrats, which Republicans have been demanding.
