I think we've all lost count on the number of times rapper DMX has seen the inside of a jail cell. This go-round, the bad boy of rap was busted for allegedly five counts of probation violation, involving drug possession and use, and is being held without bond.
DMX, whose given name is Earl Simmons, was cuffed yesterday by the Adult Probation Office. Although DMX has been arrested countless times, this is his first for the year.
Last year, the sometimes actor did 90 days in the Maricopa County jail in Arizona, after he pleaded guilty for felony convictions for not only drug-related charges but theft and animal cruelty. The court system sentenced him to 18 months of supervised probation plus counseling, which meant he could walk but he must behave himself, rather than spend the rest of his time in a cell.
But enough is enough, and according to the Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, they might be ready to throw the book at DMX. Sheriff Arpaio states that his men have arrested the excessive repeat offender five times so far. He also claims that DMX assaulted one of his officers. In August of last year, the Sheriff says, DMX's Cave Creek home was raided and they found a dozen abused dogs, three that had been buried, drugs and an arsenal of weapons.
"He admitted to using cocaine, so he's back in our jail," said Sheriff Arpaio. "I think it's about time to give him hard time." But Arpaio said if DMX wants to kick drugs, the Arizona jail system could be his salvation. "We do have a great drug-prevention program in the jail, so if he stays in our jail system I will consider (letting) him go through our program," he said.
Is DMX merely being picked on by local authorities? "Don't misunderstand me. It's a beautiful state, it's a beautiful city. But the powers that be have it out for me. It kind of taints my view," he said.
On the flip side, DMX's missus will finally have her full say regarding her hubby's recurrent jailhouse antics and then some. Tashera Simmons, is hammering out the final details of her tell-all autobiographical book entitled "Strength of a Woman."
The book will reveal intimate glimpses of her life, as the wife of a man who has been arrested every year of their married life since 1999. Simmons will discuss the infidelity, paternity claims, drugs, music and the madness of her turbulent life with the rapper and how she has managed to keep their family life from crumbling to bits.

Infidelity, drug use, chronic arrests, now dog fighting...
The Missus must be some catch. What kind of low self esteem would stay with a loser like that? It'll be interesting to see how she twists her sorry tale into "strength of a woman".

Apparently, he likes the jailhouse lifestyle. I say let's oblige his sorry a** and lock him up and stop wasting time letting him out; he misses it too much and wants to go back, so just let him stay inside. As far as the Arizona authorities havin it in for him, if he wasn't breaking the rules all the time, they couldn't catch him at it.
He's just another thug refusing to accept responsibility for his life and actions. Hard time is what he needs.
I hope his woman isn't counting on a big payday from her book; I doubt that many people care about her life with DMX, the Thug. Rapping thugs in jail is not news anymore, it is "SOP". And women with low self-esteem who hang around waiting for them is not news either, it is just pathetic and probably some kind of pathology.
