I probably shouldn't even waste the keystrokes to write this, but Rush Limbaugh is worse than a racist. He's someone who uses racism to inflame long-standing stereotypes to line his pockets.
Limbaugh's latest piece of non-sense came, when he referred to New York Gov. David Paterson as a "Massa." He was using the name of New York Rep. Eric Massa, who recently resigned after being accused of sexual harassment, but Rush was referring to Paterson in the sense of a slave and master.
A caller said the embattled governor might appoint Massa's replacement if Paterson doesn't resign first to which Limbaugh replied:
"Let's assume you're right," Limbaugh responded. "So, David Paterson will become the massa...who gets to appoint whoever gets to take Massa's place. So, for the first time in his life, Paterson's gonna be a massa. Interesting, interesting."
What's so interesting about demeaning a black man?
Limbaugh is trying to imply that Paterson never had any power. Despite his recent problems, Paterson is still governor of one of the most important states in the country. He has also had a decades-long career as a state legislator and public servant.
And why would Limbaugh even make these comments? They aren't funny and they don't illuminate any pertinent points.
Oh, I forgot, he has an audience full of people who wait for him to say outrageously racist things. That's what lines his pockets. It has made him a very wealthy, yet despicable man.
Maybe we should follow the advice of view host Joy Behar and take away Limbaugh's source of income.
On her HLN show, Behar said that Limbaugh should go.
"This whole Massa controversy gave him an excuse to make a racial slur against New York Governor David Paterson," Behar said. "Not that Rush needs an excuse to make a racial slur."
Limbaugh said he would go to Costa Rica if health care reform passes. That's another reason to give another 30 million Americans access to health care. But then, I'd feel bad for the people of beautiful Costa Rica.

Can you not find a real story?? This is a waste of everyone's time. Joy Behar?? Who cares. Sounds like Rush is taking Rev. Sharpton lessons, using racism to inflame long-standing stereotypes to line his pockets.

Lancer how dare you tell me to lighten up. I am a proud black man born in 19 46. I remember the firehoses and turning police dogs loose in the crowd of blacks. I also deeply remember my grand father showing his grand kids his back that was scared up due to whips the he endured during his life. You can't tell me to not take it serious when I as a second grade child was whiped every day by my white female teacher because I dared to show up for her class, you see, I was one of the first black child to go to a all white school in my town in east texas. What rush is saying degrading and uncalled for. We as black people should get upset. What upsets me most of all Is people like you that set in thier little sleazy world and tell me to get over it.

I agree, this story BLOWS and has NO sustainable content...why is it that if a WHITE individual makes a comment that has even a grain of racial context, it is automatically racist, BUT a black person can say whatever they want? why is it social justice for a black to accuse whites and say racist things to whites? Its a double standard, if Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can do it, then so can Rush Limbaugh...its also funny how blacks will say the N word, and then get upset if a white says it...HOW HYPOCRITICAL!!!

Rush is a sad excuse for a human. He has so many self esteem issues. He's fat, bald, and not attractive. Women marry him for his money then leave him. His anger toward blacks is getting worse. He must go just like Imis. To many crack pots listen to this hater and believe every word he says. Rush must be taken off the air waves.

Rush Limbaugh, what can be said about him? He is an outspoken idiot who was granted a platform for his views. Listen, unlike Glen Beck, or Hanity, I do not see Rush as a racist, any more than I see him as ultra-conservative. I used to listen to Rush during the 80's and 90's and yes people, I am black. What I have discovered about Rush is he just loves to hear himself talk, kind of like the child in the family who was robbed of attention by some older sibling, or by parents who did not seem to feel that what little Rush had to say was important enough to incline their ears to. I have heard Rush slam Republicans and Democrats alike. His favorite Republican target back in the day was George H. W. Bush, who just seemed to be a walking bucket of material for lampoonists. I have heard Rush take swings at Newt Geingrich, (or how ever you spell his last name), Jesse Helms, David Duke, and even G. W. Bush. You can not take what Rush has to say with a grain of salt, or any other spice for that matter.
Now, let us talk about this whole racism bull crap which seem to be the main topic of discussion on 97% of these Black Voices posts. People, we need to stop this God Foresaken finger pointing, pull the heads out of the butts and move this darned country forward. Yes, I am about to upset both white and black alike with what I am about to say, but it has to be said. Everything that happens is not a racist act, get that through the heads now. In fact, most of you who holler racism have not idea what real racism is. You are generations removed from the Whites Only bathrooms, and the No Blacks Allowed sign, and indeed most of you sit on the back of the bus by choice, not because you have to. Many of you call each other the N word, and get mad because John Mayer let it slip. White people, you are not of the freakin hook either. I am beyond tired of you blaming Affirmative Action for your job woes. If you were told you do not qualify for a job, take your lazy butt ack to school and get qualified. Long and the short of it people is this, get over the dog gone past so we can more on into the darned future.
