Virginia Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, raised eyebrows recently when she decided to start a Tea Party group in her hometown. In January, Mrs. Thomas created Liberty Central Inc., a non-profit lobbying group that operates around a set of conservative principles.
"I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you," she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama's "hard-left agenda."
The group is going to accept donations from various groups, including corporations, which were recently allowed to contribute to political campaigns by the Supreme Court. Perhaps she should thank her husband for helping to open the door for her group to expand its coffers.
"I adore all the new citizen patriots who are rising up across this country," said Thomas. "I have felt called to the front lines with you, with my fellow citizens, to preserve what made America great."
The Supreme Court has a history of non-partisanship, but apparently Virginia Thomas is choosing to end that history all by herself. Her husband Clarence stated that he doesn't attend the State of the Union because it is "so partisan." Experts claim that the actions of Thomas' wife don't violate ethical rules for judges, but one has to wonder how a man is affected when the woman he sleeps with every night is also in bed with a long list of corporations across America.
"I think the American public expects the justices to be out of politics," said University of Texas law school professor Lucas A. "Scot" Powe, a court historian.
Clarence Thomas has, for some, epitomized the term self-hatred. As a man many believe to be of inadequate intellect, Thomas has seen himself rise to power through the use of affirmative action programs that he now works to destroy. Black history will remember Thomas in ways that won't make his grandchildren proud, and his wife Virginia only serves to remind us of the obvious. Her participation in the Tea Party Movement, which possesses many disturbing symptoms of a racist society, means that while she might love the man she chose to marry, she simultaneously despises the people from which he came. Additionally, the latent disrespect Mrs. Thomas shows for the impartiality of the Supreme Court creates a great opportunity for Americans to see Thomas for what he really is. I'm sure he's not happy with his wife's decision.

I had thought that Clarence Thomas had sunk about as low as he could go in life and now this. Clarence is an example of an individual who started at the bottom in life and proceed to sink even lower. As for his relationship with his wife I am sure that they are of one mindset and that is to subjugate minorities every chance they get. His indirect participation in the Tea Party movement speaks volumes.

my thoughts are with the Blacks today when health care and education bills will be passed. they say you will get great things. don't hold your breath. mrs. thomas has joined the tea parties. That's where all Blacks should be: and starting their own division of tea parties called Black Moms For America. What did the Black Caucus in congress do for your Black kids in Washington D.C. Zero. They let Duncan and Congress chase your kids out of the great charter schools they were in and sent them back to their captors in the public schools. Black Moms of America, and as reported are mostly single, should ban together and see that schools boards get rid of the good-for-nothing teachers that are denying your Black kids a decent education. Help these moms do it peacefully. You need Million Moms doing it for you. Good luck.

What is so disturbing about this article is that Virgina Thomas doesn't think that anyone else in this nation is proud of their heritage or this country. Democrats are Patriots too! The Tea Partiers are mainly angry white folks that still don't like the fact that an highly educated and intelligent black man and his equally talented wife, two beautiful kids, and a loving mother-in-law now occupy their so-called "Whites Only House". Justice Clarence Thomas is the worst "Uncle Tom" that I've heard and read about in the 35 years since I graduated from high school.

Clarence Thomas is a good Negro, a good conservative, which is why BV
hates him. His only sin is that he thinks he's good enough to have a
white wife.
