Academy Award–nominee Gabourey Sidibe has folks buzzing, but not about her newfound screen success as the star of "Precious." Instead, tongues are wagging about the young woman's dire need to shed quite a few pounds.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old was recently approached by a weight loss company and offered a year's supply of their product, so that she could not only lose the weight to improve her image but to save her life.
Acai Supply sent Sidibe a letter, detailing how the actress should prove all of the naysayers (i.e., Howard Stern) wrong and lose weight, so that she could have a bright future in Hollywood as an actress.
The company claims that Acai Supply products are chock-full of antioxidants and nutrients and have helped their clients achieve a healthier life that is full of energy and vitality. Acai Supply has only one stipulation, though: after Sidibe loses the weight, they would like her to give the public a "glowing testimony" of their products.
Will she take them up on their offer? Time will tell....

Beg !! What the Hell !! I understand but to put it out there will they just leave that girl alone Damn !! if she wants to be a Thick sister so be it. I just want her to be healthly.
Ask this company did they ask or beg ?
Rosie O'donell, Danny Devito or other white actors that may need to lose a few extra pounds as well ??

Let's be real here. None of the actors that you mentioned is MORBIDLY obese. This child needs to reduce her size to a healthier weight -- and I don't mean thin as toothpick.

Perhaps her blessing is 1) the got an opportunity to showcase her acting talent and 2) bring to the forefront a symbol of what America is turning it's attention away from. The young lady does not look healthy. I admire her for her talent, but I also would like to see her for years to come.

So are u co-siging on this ? You telling me Acai could not have let the sister use some the products for awhile first and get positive results of her losing some pounds and looking great just as u see in all other commercial to Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and even Subway Jerrod.
They sponser and was on the products and when they lost the weight they show a before and after pic and they try to sell the consumer on the product ?
C-mon Jennifer they could have at least got to that point and after Gabby lost weight and look nice ...Bam!! their product could have been more sincere. They are calling her out on the sly and that is not cool and maybe the girl wants to be obese it is non-of our Business ???
