The Tea Party Protesters might need a little bit of brand management to overcome the growing perception that they represent a racist, homophobic, extremist fringe of disgruntled voters. The most recent incident of very bad PR came this week, as a small group of Tea Party protesters gathered on Capitol Hill and yelled "n*gger" and "f*ggot" at members of Congress as they walked past the crowd. The group has taken heat for the actions of those who don't know how to be cordial in their discourse, and it's not good for the Republican Party.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele was put in yet another awkward position, trying to defend that which is indefensible. A man who appears to be disrespected at every turn by his own party, Steel dismissed those using the N-word within the Tea Party group as "idiots out there saying stupid things." Of course, Steele was not in a position to dismiss the Tea Partiers themselves, likely because they would have put him in a pile with the other black people they hate the most.
Steele has, time and again, proven himself to be incredibly ineffective when representing the Republican Party. A few months ago, Rush Limbaugh body slammed Steele into a humiliating apology, during which Steele actually referred to Limbaugh (who is an entertainer) as a leader. Sorry, my friends, Rush Limbaugh is not and never will be a true leader in America. He is a step up from David Duke, and lies within the "axis of ignorance," along with Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. Their goal is to incite angry energy from a base of Americans who are disappointed that blatant racial hostility has become politically incorrect.
I am not sure how Steele can empower himself to truly lead the Republican Party. There is no doubt that Steele, a man who impresses me as being likable with some modest degree of genuine intellect, is likely kept up at night trying to manage the fact that his party is being pulled further to the right every day. The Tea Party Movement is not good for the Republican party, and most intelligent Republicans know this. The only thing the Tea Party does is increase the viewership ratings for Fox News, which is why Fox will continue to add fuel to the fire.
Mark my words: Michael Steele will resign as RNC Chairman within the next several months. I would be shocked if he were to finish his term.
Watch Steele embarrass himself once again in trying to embrace the Tea Party (surprise, surprise, he gets rejected):

....Neither Michael Steele, nor Reverend Al Sharpton are sworn under oath to serve the America people.
....This duty rests with President Barack Obama, and so far President Barack Obama still does not get it.

The only thing I'm surprised about, is that these incidents, if true, suprised anyone. Carl Lewis, if anyone, should know what will happen when a black man is near a gang of angry white people. Black people need to get off this fantasy, that somehow, these people will be ashamed or embarassed by the things they do or say They will at the very least, they will deny it, or give some half-baked apology, and try again sometime later. The teabaggers are the mortal enemies of the black community, because they are leaderless, loosely organized, ill-informed, and angry, meaning they cannot be reasoned with. Above all, they are driven by a deep-seated hatred of minorities, that they can barely contain, but manifests itself in this narrative they continually entertain, that somehow, some minority somewhere, is responsible for how their miserable lives turned out. Don't believe it? Go to the blogsites...and you'll see the same theme. "Mexican illegal immigrants are taking our jobs, minorities enjoy unemployment and living in abject poverty, the housing meltdown was caused by minorities, affirmative action is why my retarded kid couldn't get into Harvard, bring back racial profiling...blah, blah, blah, blah."
First we need to stop yelling "racism" every time a teabagger burns a cross on your lawn. We should expect it. We need to trust our instincts, and fight the battles we can win. When the press asks what happened, we should say "no comment." Let the press figure it out.
Finally, we should fight BS rhetoric with facts. If they say Obama is a socialist (code for the "n" word), we should ask how they know this. If they say the country is declining, ask for proof. They will never pass up an opportunity to show you how smart they are, so ask questions...especially how they know what they know.
Good Luck!

......but neither Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele, nor Poverty Pimping Reverend Al Sharpton are sworn under oath and mandated by law, as elected officials, to serve the American People.
....This is the function of President Barack Obama.

“I’ve known him since the very beginning of his political career, which was his campaign for the seat in my state senate district in Chicago. He struck me then as a vacuous opportunist, a good performer with an ear for how to make white liberals like him. I argued at the time that his fundamental political center of gravity, beneath an empty rhetoric of hope and change and new directions, is neoliberal.”

This just proves how stupid black people are. They have been supporting the democratic party for years when the democratic party has been catering to the jews who control the same abortion industry which has been killing black fetuses at an alarming rate.

From all over America These are collective racist
pest, vermin and vomit from the ages past. they would chew on their own tails if there were no one
point fingers at, they are contagious.
-------------------------------------------
Why can't White America admit that the Tea Baggers are fueled by racism. Most of it's momentum comes from the deep south...go figure. If you're so concerned about pointless government spending, protest the idiotic war put into effect by an idiotic President. Tea Party is 2010 version of the KKK.

YOU ARE CORRECT THE TEA BAGGERS ARE FULED BY RACISM. THE REPUBLICANS OF COURSE KNOW THIS. THEY ARE DESPERATE TO GET BACK INTO THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2012. SO THEY KEEP THE TEA BAGGERS PUMPED UP LIKE YOU WOULD DO AT A SPORTS RALLY IN THIS CASE A KLAN RALLY.
THE REPUBLICANS ARE DESPERATE TO GET BACK INTO THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2012 AND THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT. THEREFORE THEY HAD TO GET A GROUP OF KLANSMEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE BEING TOLD THAT THE MINORITIES ARE TAKING THEIR JOBS, TAKING THEIR HOMES, ETC. JUST TO KEEP THEM CHARGED UP.
THEY KNOW THAT THE TEA BAGGERS ARE DUMB, UNEDUCATED AND ARE EASILY BRAIN WASHED.
THEY TELL THEM TO ACT AS WILD AND NUTTY AS POSSIBLE TO HAVE PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO THEM.
BUT WHAT THEY DON'T REALIZE IS THE FACT THAT PEOPLE KNOW THEY ARE RACIST EVIL THUGS AND NO ONE TAKES THEM SERIOUSLY IN THEIR BELIEFS OF WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG. ALL OF THEIR ACTIONS SHOW THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN COMMON THUGS. THEY LIE AND LIE AND LIE ABOUT THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL AND OTHER POLICTICAL ISSUES.
THEY HAVE REALLY BEEN A DISGRACE TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. THE REPUBLICANS OF COURSE WERE A DISGRACE DURING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. THE REPUBLICANS HAVE RECRUITED THE TEA BAGGERS TO HELP THEM WIN THE 2012 ELECTION.
THE TEA BAGGERS HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT HURT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AS A WHOLE. THE REPUBLICANS ARE TOO EVIL AND HATEFUL TO KNOW THAT.
THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DON'T ACT LIKE THE TEA BAGGERS. THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS CAN'T BELIEVE HOW EVIL AND HATEFUL THE TEA BAGGERS ARE. THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DON'T WANT TO BE ASSOCICATED WITH THE REPUBLICANS FOR VARIOUS REASONS AND ONE IN PARTICULAR IS THEIR ASSOCIATION WITH THE TEA BAGGER KLAN.
