The New York Times reports, for many, the health care overhaul, which was approved by the House, 219 to 212, and will be signed into law by President Obama, is far from perfect. For some, it's a disgrace. But for others, it's a bold effort that expands health care to more Americans than ever in the nation's history.

The GOP's agenda from day one was to defeat a black president. Their agenda and goal is purely a racist platform with the aim of discrediting and shaming a black president. To the extent of forsaking the needs of the public with regard to economy, job stimulus, extension of unemployment, health, housing, war or whatever. The republicans would rather see their constituents burn in hell before they supported anything endorsed by a black man that includes the buffoon Michael Steele they elected to serve as a battering ram against another black man. Their creation of tea parties and the hateful racist venom spewed from their followers depicts and expresses the essence of their being -- profound and unadulterated racists to the core.

You are 100% correct in your analysis, too bad the rest of America does not see the obvious. Maybe they can see it but their racism blinds them. By the way, how can I get in contact with Rush Limbaugh, I would like to help him pack his bags.

Your comments are completely untrue and totally ridiculous - the majority of the people in this country oppose the current health bill, not health reform but the current bill. It has nothing to do with the color of the presidents skin, after all we put him in office. And this cartoon is offensive.

LUBEATCO4 YOU ARE A LIAR.
THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE DON'T OPPOSE THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL. THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA AND THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WANTED HEALTH CARE REFORM.
PRESIDENT OBAMA PROMISED IF ELECTED HE WOULD REFORM HEALTH CARE AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING.
THE REPUBLICANS ASKED FOR SEVERAl THINGS IN THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL AND THE BILL CONTAINS 200 THINGS IN WHICH THEY ASKED FOR AND YET THE REPUBLICANS STILL DID NOT ACCEPT THE BILL.
THE REPUBLICANS HAD NO INTENTION WHATSOEVER OF SUPPORTING THE BILL. THE ONLY THING THE REPUBLICANS WERE DOING WAS STALLING THE PASSAGE WITH THEIR B.S.
THE REPUBLICANS LIED ABOUT THE BILL, TOLD LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE. THIS IS A VERY GOOD BILL, AND YET EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THIS IS A GOOD BILL AND YET THE REPUBICANS HAVE KEPT UP ALL THE LYING B.S.
THIS IS A GREAT ADMINISTRATION, THEY HAVE WORKED HARD IN SPITE OF ALL THE NEGATIVE EVIL HATEFUL SH-T THAT CAME OUT OF THE REPUBLICAN CAMP.

If a white guy drew a stereotypical cartoon like the one above of blacks, it would be called racist. But blacks can have a cartoon like the above, portraying people who actually believe in the Constitution as ignorant rednecks, and it's not supposed to be racist. DOUBLE STANDARD again.

I truly do not like the cartoon and I wish the young man who drew it would have used his head for thinking instead of being used by his employees and using his head for such nonsense as that. It is totally disrespectful and also uncalled for. The Health Care Reform Bill is to be taken very serious and I don't see any satire at all in it. No excuse for this depiction at all period.

What's so bad about the cartoon depiction above especially when the words in the cartoon rings true with complete absolution?
Bill Schrier, remember racism, institutional in nature, deeply rooted and passed from generation to generation, in hate and total disdain for African Americans and all ethnic groups in the country, is the sole creation & idealogy by the American White people and no other race in this country, for the sole purposes of devaluation, political, social and economic prosperity in which on a continious & daily basis, readily stokes the fires of that racism and hatred (on rabid display this weekend in D.C., calling certain Congressman the "F" word, the "N" word and spitting on a Congressman etc) so when a cartoon is depicted in this fashion, don't criticize it but embrace it because it's reflects the attitudes that Whites carry and committ to everyday.
It amazes me how Whites continue to hide behind the Constitution and all it's rights when they don't get their way and in their own minds. don't realize that when Whites display racist attitudes and mannerisms but use the "issues" as some sort of "pseudo shield" hoping hat African Amerian and other ethnic groups don't catch on, you're only fooling yourself.
Bill, here's the deal:
More than anybody, John Lewis & James Clyburn (the Congressman (who were called racial ephipets) know that these racist behaviors coming from the Teabaggers, the Republican politicans on the hill and the extreme conservative right wing is really not a shock to them (been there, done that) but the overall attitudes and reason for their resentment and anger that goes well beyond the possible passage of health care reform, which has been rising and seething everyday since Senator Obama won the Presidency.
On CSPAN & all the Sunday's political shows this morning, the Republicans were in full force this morning trying to denounce the actions of those "isolated few" in the crowd of hundreds at the State Capitol this weekend, with one Repubican saying that " he was an old person and that's what happens when people get excited, they say things that they may not really mean".... trying to separate his "2010 Whiteness" from yesterday's 1960's "Whiteness" yet, during the past year (and especially last summer) when all the White folk: the Teabaggers, KKK, Arian Nation, miitiant groups, & hard core right wingers were out in full force all over the country at demostrations, right-wing media, bloggers, rallys & town hall meetings, yelling, screaming, being disruptive, violent, carry & waving weapons of all types out in full view (as a form of inimidation) a few yards from the President, while hiding behind the constitution and the right of free speech & to bear arms, there was no actions(s) by the Republicans to seek out and eliminate these "rogue" protestors as long as they help their cause in pushing their agenda, supporting the "party of no", and assisting with the real agenda, the complete political failure of the nation's first Black President.
And despite all that, none of it worked and the health care bill will be voted upon in a partisan manner, despite all the efforts by the Prez to have a bi-partsian support & the bill voted on with both Democrats & Republicans eventhought (and they still deny it) the bill contains several Republican recommendations for health care reform that they wanted.
Their problem is that they do not have the power nor the control to change this and millions of White folks and Republicans are at a head exploding cross roads right now.
Nothing that they have schemed, planned & executed (up to this point) has worked and this has never happened to them before because they have always felt that they have always had complete or some control (even if that President was a White Democrat).
The very reality that they have severely dreaded since the initial shock of Barack Hussein Obama winning the Presidency is coming true and in their eyes they have completely lost control and there is little that they can do about it.
The passage of American health care reform, a massive step & change in this nation's history, (no matter how close the vote) and the fact that no other President in this nation's history has never accomplished this, the first African American President made this his first major legislative priority and made it happen and as President Obama said earlier this year "I am not done yet, I am only just beginning".
Their grip on reality is slowly slipping away. The old 60's era, tried & true tactics don't work anymore. They have no new ideas, can't inimidate Prez Obama and the White folks are really scared now, more than ever.
To me, that has the feel of election night for these folks. Another suprise & massive shock to their system and their collective psyche. They believe, just like on election night, that despite the vote count against their efforts, "something" will happen to ensure that it won't occur.
"Insider" wishful thinking.
And once again, the disdain with White folks hatin' Black folks grows. The way they see it, (and we are not looking at it this way) another win for Blacks, another loss for them.
And the really sad part?
When the health care bill is signed into law (and any approved policy going forward) and the overall effective & positive results of this legislation are being felt and starts to improve the lives of the millions of Americans (Republicans & the like-minded) all across the country who passionally rallied against this, still won't admit it and will continue to have major disdain and hate in their hearts and continue to work 24/7 towards the political & personal failure of President Obama.
BOTTOM LINE: They are working against their own interests and why? Because of skin color? The current healh care system does not distingunish between Democrat or Republican, White or Black - they screw everybody and we all pay the price.
And their next calculated move(s)? (and the talking points have already started) The Republcans will completely regain control in both the House & the Senate this November and the ones walking the point & leading the charge? The very "agenda crazy" White citizens (the ones depicted in the cartoon above) that the President is trying to help.
That's just how deep racism and it's intended & overall creation, is ruining in this country.
