Gay Rights to Not Be Included in Zimbabwe Constitution
Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe said on Friday that gay rights would not be protected under the new Constitution that is being drawn up. He is also quoted as saying that homosexuals are ""lower than pigs and dogs." Currently, same-sex activities are illegal in Zimbabwe and Africa, with the exception of South Africa. To Mugabe, the incessant call for gay rights from Western gay advocacy groups is "insanity." [Yahoo News]

House Sends Final Chapter of Health Care to President
Late last night, in a vote that was 220-207, the health care legislation fixes were sent to President Barack Obama from the House, closing a triumphant yet contentious chapter. While the legislation makes President Obama the first president to achieve a health care overhaul, the bill's passing has not spared Congressional lawmakers from violent threats and criticism. [AP]
