Season 6 "American Idol" finalist Stephanie Edwards is apparently not as composed and genteel as we remember her to be. The 22-year-old "young lady" was busted last night for brawling in the streets with another woman.

Edwards, who finished in 11th place behind R&B darling Jordin Sparks back in 2007, was entangled in a fight so vicious, Georgia police had to literally use all their might to tear her apart from the other woman.

Chatham County Sheriff's department records indicate that Edwards actually went over to the other woman's home, because the other woman allegedly made harassing phone calls to Edwards. The young singer, tired of the repeated digs and at her wit's end, hightailed over to the other woman's home to confront her.

Police were summoned at around 10:00 p.m. to break up the fight, which had spilled in to the middle of the street. Both women were arrested and taken to a local jail.

Edwards has since been released. Both women sustained minor injuries.

Not the best way to regain some press!
