When Ohio police attempted to pull over Ricky Flowers last Monday for failing to signal, the young man instead put the pedal to the metal. Police gave chase at speeds of more than 90 mph.
Flowers eventually pulled over near an interstate road, and he and three other passengers made a mad dash on foot to evade the officers who had been in hot pursuit.
Mitchell Byers, 19, and Lamar Sullins, 19, were caught by police when they ran down a dead-end alley. The third passenger, Gabriel Huston, 20, was also apprehended and Tasered as he tried to scale a fence.
Flowers also tried to scale the same fence, which was topped with barbed wire. Indeed, the 20-year-old successfully made it over to the other side, however, what was waiting for him was not a path to freedom. Instead, Flowers wound up in a prison yard, the Northeast Pre-Release Center for Women.
As soon as he hit the pavement, an alarm blared and prison officers quickly arrested him.
Investigator reports state that Flowers originally got nervous and decided to flee from police because he was driving with a suspended license.
Flowers and his three cronies are facing charges of fleeing, eluding and obstructing justice charges.
