Breast Feeding Would Save Lives, Money

According to results that will be published in 'Pediatrics,' if 90 percent of American women breast fed their babies for at least six months, 900 babies would be kept alive annually and billions of dollars would be saved. In America, breastfeeding is often touted as a lifestyle choice, downplaying its dramatic health benefits. The data found on breast feeding has analysts saying that it should be a top public health issue. Many babies suffer and die from "stomach viruses, ear infections, asthma, juvenile diabetes, sudden infant death syndrome and even childhood leukemia" that would be easily prevented if mothers decided to start and continue breast feeding. Michael Jackson's Doctor to Appear in Court Today
Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's former physician, will appear in court today to face charges of involuntary manslaughter. A judge will be assigned to the case and a preliminary date will be chosen to answer for the King of Pop's death. Dr. Murray will also be fighting to keep his license after the medical board suggested that it be revoked last week. More than a dozen of Jackson's family members are expected to be present. [NPR]

Tiger Woods to Talk to Press Today at Masters
Ending the last day of practice with a warm hug and words of encouragement from both golf colleague and friend Mark O'Meara, Tiger Woods readied himself for the Masters, which starts this week. Woods will face the press today at 2 p.m. ET in his first public meeting without a written statement or restricted questions. [ABC News]
