Racism and Animal Sex in N.Y. Tea Party Candidate E-mails

Carl Paladino, Tea Party, Racist, Animal Sex E-Mails

Carl Paladino, the Tea Party–supported candidate for N.Y. governor, sent e-mails to party supporters filled with graphic racist images, hard-core bestiality and pornography, according to an online news outlet.

Paladino, a wealthy Buffalo real estate developer, launched his long shot bid for governor last week, after aligning himself with Tea Party movement leaders in the state. Paladino is extremely conservative and is opposed to abortion rights and same-sex marriage.

But it will be the nature of the e-mail he sent to businessmen and political cronies that will earn Paladino at least a moment of media attention in this election.

The e-mails, revealed by WNY media.net, represent the worst the Internet has to offer in racist and pornographic attempts at humor, some of which are directed at President Barack Obama.

In one 2008 e-mail, titled "Obama Inauguration Rehearsal," a video of African tribesmen perform a dance.

In a 2009 e-mail, a picture of a women having sex with a horse is titled, "Easy Steady Big Fella...XXXX."

Another 2009 photograph shows President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama (see below) attending a formal White House event dressed as a pimp and prostitute.

For the record, Paladino has denied being a racist and said he didn't originate any of the e-mails but was careless in forwarding them on to associates.

Paladino first raised eyebrows with New Yorkers by saying the health care reform package passed by Congress would kill more people than the 2001 terrorist attacks on 9/11.

This isn' t the first time the Tea Party, a conservative outgrowth of the Republican party, has been associated with openly racist behavior.

During the heated debate over health care reform championed by President Obama, members of the Tea Party spit and hurled racist and anti-gay slurs at black and openly gay members of Congress at a Capitol Hill rally.

While the disclosure of the smutty racist e-mails is shocking, at least it might represent a final nail in the Tea Party political movement. Of course, Tea Party supporters will claim the e-mails are just the work of one candidate and don't represent the thinking of the entire Tea Party leadership.

But anyone with even half a brain knows better.
