Actress Aasha Davis, best known for her roles on popular television shows like 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Friday Night Lights' faced her toughest role yet, when she went on television a year ago to ask the public for help in finding her missing sister, Leslie Ann Herring. Now a year has passed, and her sister's body has still not been found, but police think they've caught the woman's killer: her husband, Davis' brother-in-law, Lyle Herring, Sr., who was arrested Wednesday.
According to police reports, Herring had a heated argument with his wife on Feb. 8, 2009. Aasha reported her 46-year-old sister missing when she did not report to work after a few days.
When police investigators questioned Herring about his wife's disappearance, he was not cooperative, making him an instant suspect. Investigators described the man as being "fragmented, less than helpful and not behaving as a grieving husband."
During a press conference last year, Herring, a university recruiter, denied any involvement in his wife's disappearance. He appealed for his wife to come home. "Please give us a call," Herring said. "Let us know what's going on. We have a lot to talk to about." Police were not buying his act.
Herring will be arraigned today in Los Angeles. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Why does he just get 15 years in prison? He should get life without parole or the death penalty if they still had minor children at home. We must stop the murdering of women or wives. Law enforcement must get tough. Oh, I forgot, it's California. You can kill women in California and get away with it. Look at O.J. and Robert Blake.
Work to change the laws. Make sure if a spouse kills a spouse and there are still minor children; the offender should get the death penalty. If there are no children and the crime is covered up or premeditated then life in prison without parole.

do you remember the black guy in chicago years back that was abducting , and killing little kids? come on ya'all groe the f up. killers come in all nationalities, sizes and genders, and as far as "black" voices and other labels put on here and on tv is rediculous, and if you are one of those people who ""belong"" to those labels you should be offended, it just keeps everyone seperated. also whoever said that most shows and news channels and so on are for whites and just not labeled as such is a big idiot, the point issss it cannot be labeled as "white" because that would be racism!! which makes all other labels not right either, so to whom ever feels labeling is ok is just a person who need an excuse to cry and complain, black, white, red ,or yellow or whatever you label yourself =/ GET OVER IT!!!! if we all lived in the past and used that as an excuse to get something for nothing or better treatment than someone else no one would amount to anything and all our lives would be a big waste of time, we all live better than our ancestors be thankful!

I went and read your entire postings and you are one angry woman!! You say that gay marriage is unacceptable because it would confuse kids and jeopardize marriage! Let's face it the heterosexuals sure seem to be doing a good job of ruining it themselves! Look at the divorce rate and say that two people who love each other shouldn't have the legal benefits of marriage? Your religious marriage should be kept out of OUR government!
Your marriage is a contract between you and your husband, we should be able to have the same contract. Perhaps you have a very sheltered life and I feel very sorry if one of YOUR children is gay. YOU SHOULD LOVE THEM REGARDLESS!!
I came from a very strong Christian family and was concerned that if I told my family that I was gay that they would want nothing to do with me, just the opposite happened, they said "You are my child and I love you regardless" They didn't try to "change" me, they LOVED ME!!

Habeas Corpus refers to the body of the CRIME (as in evidence), not the body of the victim.
