I'm from Los Angeles,Lala, and grew up during the 80'S. This was a notorious time because of the mass killings, in our community. All perpertrated by black gangs on other blacks. They would never go to Hollywood and commit murders, not that I'm advocating this. But I can vividly remember homeboys getting caught up in the ignorance and becoming victims. Alot of times they didn't have to get caught-up but they did to get the supposedly wonderful street cred. I along with alot of sensible brothers knew that the smart thing to do was to RUN. And I mean run as fast as you can away from these fools. Now twenty some years later, we are all successful black men. Who have survived these harsh times. And every now and then we sit back and laugh at the experience. All the while, knowing that it was the choices we made then that's allowing us to enjoy the good-life. So, if you are in the "hood" being traumatized by violence then maybe you should find a way to RUN RUN!!!

Run: I have a proposition for a successful Black man. I need funding for a potentially successful enterprise. I need about 73 billion dollars. It could take 80 billion to be safe. How can I get in touch with you. My e-mail: dd214sjcca@gmail.com. This is a serious endeavor and I want to attract serious investors. I am assuming that successful means that you and your frriends are household names in the global financial world who can make a head of state disappear, force ownership change of a significant corporate entity and crash the stock market with one unilateral move.
Being able to do those thing would qualify as successful. If you have NEVER lost 10 million dollars it means that you can not borrow 10 million dollars. So, get in touch at your convenience. I migrated to Los Angeles in 1959 and left in August 1965, following the Watts Riot. The glory days for Blacks in Los Angeles had passed before you were born. Economic success is a relative term.

I'm also a resident of Los Angeles who has lived through the Watts Riot of 1965 and 1992. I'm about to blame the demise of the Black community, the Black male on gangs, etc., etc., considering the reality that untold numbers of innocent Black men, women, and/or their sibling have been seriously violated rogue police officers, unethical social workers, probation officers, no good poverty pimping jackleg preachers, unfair and illegal court decisions, etc., etc., etc.
.....you name it. All while our own no good elected Black leadership remain silent, give a free pass to undocumented/illegal immigrants, etc., etc. at the expense of the law abiding segment of the the Black community!
The biggest problem, issue, etc., is not the gang members, but rather our own inept elected Black leadership, and/or those who praise them.
Any U.S. born/American Citizen, Black Alpha Phi Alpha member(s), etc., etc., etc., must be university educated fools for protesting in behalf
of illegal/undocumented immigrants. It is certain that once given amnesty, these individuals won't be bending over backwards to move any U.S. born Black, citizen by birthright, set of Black community constituents forward.
Case in point, former predominately Black communities such as Compton, South Central Los Angeles, etc., etc., have been overrun with illegal/undocumented immigrants to where, illegal immigrants are the new property owners, private business owners, are now gainfully employed....
....while many U.S. born Black men, women, and/or their siblings face foreclosure, are now homeless, face penal incarceration due to the pressure of not being able to hold on financially, etc., etc.
President Barack "the Magic Negro" Obama, Reverend Al Sharpton, and/or other no good elected Black leaders affiliated with the Democratic Party, don't give a rat's behind about the plight of U.S.
born Black people.
When these individuals place more emphasis on the rights of the illegal/undocumented, while trashing the rights of U.S. born Black people, this is strong evidence that our own elected Black leaders
are as treasonous, as treasonous can get!
Illegal/undocumented immigrants have displaced U.S. born Black people in employment, while U.S. born Blacks, be it university educated or
otherwise, remain underemployed or unemployed.
Believe it or not, without gainful employment, eventually even the most resourceful individuals may eventually do the unthinkable, such as using criminal means solely for survival to provide the
necessities of life for family members, and/or themselves.
Believe it or not, there is a strong connection between high unemployment and increased criminal activity.

How Mexico Treats it's Illegal Immigrants/ The Facts vs. Myths and
Arizona Bill 1070
.....and why President Barack Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus, U.S. born Black men, or women would be in agreement with, promoting
amnesty for and/or protecting the rights of undocument/illegal immigrants is beyond me.

Unlike no good President Barack Obama, Reverend Al Sharpton, and/or others contentions, illegal/undocumented immigrants and U.S. born
Black men, women, and/or their siblings have absolutely nothing in common with any illegal/undocumented immigrant issue!

Thank you for your candor. It gives me hope(and I loathe that word these last two years)that MAYBE Black America will awaken from the fugue state she has been living in and regains her values and self respect. It is reassurring to hear other voices echoing that our so-called Black leadership care more for the rights of illegal aliens than for U.S. Citizens(of all races). I woke up 8 years ago and started to question WHY after 40 yrs of voting w/Democrats are Black people WORSE off than prior to 1960? Yes, we have made strides but look what has happened to us as a community. Was it worth it? I agree with you we have ignorant leadership.I am embarrassed by Obama(didn't vote for him as I understood what "fundamentally transform America" meant. They were still teaching American/World history so I recognized fascism. I cringe everytime Maxine Waters opens her mouth. This party shows their disdain of Black America in the people it welcomes into the party. There appears to be no intelligent, America loving blacks in that party. They're ignorant, communist loving, America hating, criminals. Do I dare hope we will make a course correction? You give me a glimmer of hope

Since intergration, black people are only symbolic in unity. These black leaders, the black caucus are only catering for the vote of hispanics, who are the largest voting bloc. Historically after recon-
struction black leaders did the same thing, sold us out for their own political aspirations.
