Michael Jackson's Burial Site Turns into field of sunflowers

Michael Jackson's former wife, Lisa Marie Presley, was not happy about the sparseness of her ex's gravesite. The area around the tomb looked so unbefitting of a King of Pop - practically barren with just a sprinkling of bouquets, gifts and candles strewn about - so Presley put out a call to Jackson's fans. On Wednesday, she made a plea on her MySpace page imploring all Jackson afficionados to liven up and shower his resting place with his favorite flowers, sunflowers, which he referred to as "happy flowers."

"I know how much he loved and appreciated being showered with gifts and flowers by his fans," Presley wrote. She suggested that if every fan sends just one silk sunflower to the tomb, "the whole area around him and in front of him...could be filled up in no time."

Well, one fan responded to Presley's call immediately! Jason Levin, from the sunflowerguy.com, a company that offers the largest and most varied selection of Jackson's favorite posy, shipped thousands to his mausoleum at Forest Lawn Cemetery yesterday.
"He deserves to be flooded and surrounded [with sunflowers], LETS SURROUND HIM," Presley stated in her plea.
Well, she certainly got her wish!
