Instead of trying to live out her days as a pillar of her community, Ola Mae Agee, 87, opted to "enrich" her environment by selling crack cocaine. The octogenarian was busted last Thursday on video for trying to sell the illegal drugs to an undercover officer.
The senior was arrested after she sold a $20 piece of crack to the officer back on April 30. Escambia County, Fla., investigators caught the entire drug sale on a surveillance tape. The video reveals how the officer knocked on Agee's back door. The retired janitor is then seen letting the undercover cop into her home and walking him through various rooms until she gets to a sofa. The woman is then seen rummaging through the piece of furniture until she finds the crack cocaine. The deputy is seen doling out $20 and some additional change to the elderly woman; she then hands over the crack.
Agee is also viewed holding a bag of crack cocaine. The deputy did not know how much of the illegal drug was actually in the bag.
If you think this is Agee's first bust, then you are mistaken. It seems that the Pensacola, Fla., resident has managed to build up quite a nifty drug arrest record for herself.
Pleading no contest in December 1996 to possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, Agee, who was 75 years old at the time, served a two-year probation that ended in July 1998. She was cuffed yet again in February 1999 for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, but the charges were subsequently dropped.
Family members escorted the elderly woman to jail. Due to her age, Agee was processed, but then authorities decided to release the woman on her own recognizance.
Agee is actually not the oldest person to get busted for selling crack. In 2004, a 96-year-old senior from North Carolina was arrested for selling the illegal substance from her home, along with other family members.

It's sad to see that Ms Agee's has to sell drugs period and especially at her age. She is retired so there is some money coming into the house for her. I would not like to see her go to prison for selling drugs or any other offenses.
I would suggested that so type of social services get involve with this case, maybe there is a greater need for her to think that she has to do this, and how did she get involved into this type of criminal life type.
I would like for the judge to do a house background intervened on her and find others way of dealing with without sending her to prison.
I do know the saying if you can't do the time don't do the crime, but the crime want her dying in prison, that would be a crime to me, but the letter of the law must be carry out, but with others options.
I will be praying for Ms Agee's to change her way.

For me she shouldn´t be jailed.Who are u jailing?this old poor retched woman.Forget it main! She should be taken care of,provided for and be taught downtoearth the dangers of what she´s doing. She only needs social help, love and care.Pastors should be involved in this. This is one of the reasons we have them in the society. But,still what she did was absolutelý wrong and antisocial.

Damm shame that this is what r elderly must do to supplment there income...I do know and pray that when i get that old that i hopefully enjoy my great grand children and they will enjoy me.I'm a hard working woman now so when i do become elderly i can sit back and enjoy what life i have left in me and not try to become a drug dealer...

This breaks my heart. She may have known what she is doing, but at the same time, this goes to show the level of poverty Black Americans have to endure. She is merely trying to survive.

That is what the ghetto will do to a person. She has probably always lived in a ghetto type setting so this is the kind of thing that happens. You would think she would know better. A person from her era Crack cocaine was not even around in her hey day. She most likely thought she could make could money in that community since Rock Cocaine is the normal drug of choice. I just hope that at 80yrs old she does not end up Dying in prison. JUST a thought!

This lady has probably been selling drugs for years, and made a profit. She's probably never been caught because she could think a little bit better than now. She's old and slowing down, and the cops are on her. She just a seller. Dig deep enough you'll probably find out someone else is fronting her. I'm sure shes in it for the money. However, shes not setting a good example for the anyone. Drugs is the cause of so much violence and crime. She hasn't considered the damage its doing to people. Doing drugs will make you "sell your momma".

With the way the economy is can blame her. I'd sell it too if I could make Kingpin money out of it. You can't make money being some small time neighborhood on the corner thug. Anyway, there's going to be more people getting into illegal things to make money because of the bad economy and not being able to find a job.
