Memphis, Tenn., man was babysitting his girlfriend's toddler when she defecated on the floor. The man reacted to the accident by beating the 2-year-old toddler to death with a basketball shoe.
Calvin Jones, 23, admitted to local authorities that the forms of discipline he used on toddler Saniiyah Kuykendall included smacking her around with the back of his hand, then beating her with a basketball shoe.
When the toddler's 21-year-old mother, Anisha Alford, returned home, the little girl complained of not feeling well and, when touched, felt cold. An eyewitness at the apartment complex where the couple lives told police that at about 11:15 p.m. on the night of the incident, the child was seen spitting and gagging, and that her eyes were rolling toward the back of her head. The person advised the couple to take the child to a nearby hospital emergency room but the suggestion fell on deaf ears.
Instead, the couple went to bed, and when they woke up the next morning, the child was dead. Jones is charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated child abuse. Alford is charged with one count of aggravated child abuse.
There were also two siblings, 4 and 1, in the home at the time. The children were placed with grandparents.
Police records do not indicate whether Alford was aware of the beating.

first of all i don't care if your african american,chinese,american or any other race to beat a child is NOT acceptable by no means. save the taxpayers money and just kill him, as far as the mother goes she should be charge with something even if she was not aware of the beating, she should of listened to friends and neighbors and took the child to the E.R. the child might be alive today

Too many people (especially young people) avoid taking kids to the ER for injuries for fear their kids will be taken away. Better taken away for abuse than DEAD. These people should be sterilized and never allowed to be near children again.
My niece abused her child, then withheld treatment for a day, eventually taken to the ER with a broken arm and contusions. He was taken from her, and she never complied with court orders to be able to get him back. Now he's adopted by another family, but she has two more kids! Those poor children....

WoW! i cryed reading this it sounds like my childhood past with my moms husband it pretains three children myself and my brother and my older sis. My sis a I or survivors my bro was killed R.I.P Bobby N. Jones. We need to pray times or getting worser tha bible comming to past so many killings and Parents are killing there own children, police killing any and whoever and still getting away with it becuz they or sworn in by man! to serve and protect, killing is becomming people new hair due, new clothes, new shoes. its time to wake up and get our mind on God! tha devil is real, but so is God! this is soo sad!
