An Arizona elementary school is under fire for asking painters of a mural, located front of the school, to lighten the faces of children depicted. R.E. Wall, director of the Prescott Elementary School's Downturn Mural Project, said that he and other artists faced racial slurs from passing drivers as they painted the mural. "We consistently, for two months, had people shouting racial slander from their cars," Wall said. "We had children painting with us, and here come these yells of ni**** and sp**.
The kids being depicted on the mural go to a school that is "a K-5 school with 380 students and the highest ethnic mix of any school in Prescott." According to Wall, thousands of residents in the town donated to have the mural painted.
Steve Blair, a city councilman, has used his radio show to attack the mural and demand that it be destroyed. This adds to another incident, in which a prominent state legislator in Arizona was found to follow a member of the Ku Klux Klan on Twitter. Not a good look for Arizona.
On the face of it, this story is quite disturbing and continues a trend of problematic behavior on the part of the residents of Arizona, who are gaining a bad reputation for a long list of racist temper tantrums. The recent immigration law was the strongest show of force by Arizona residents and has led to the city of Los Angeles refusing to do business with any corporation that is based in the state. Additionally, Arizona is remembered as the state that refused to acknowledge the Martin Luther King national holiday, and the one that hosts a sheriff, Joe Arpaio, who is accused of violating the civil rights of black and brown inmates on a regular basis.
It's clear that Arizona has a problem with racism.
What might also be true, however, is that we are looking for racism around every corner when it comes to the state of Arizona. I highly doubt that every Arizona legislator is racist, or that a good ol' fashioned hatred of black and brown people drives every inch of their behavior. If it is the case that the mural features black and brown children at the exclusion of whites, then I can understand the backlash of local residents. At the very least, we should hear their explanations before labeling them with the "R" word.
I must make it clear, however, that Arizonans would be wise to ensure that they are working to implement sound immigration policy without turning their politics into a war against brown people. Those who fight against progress are going to ultimately lose that battle. Stopping drug cartels and illegal immigration can be done without the use of racial profiling or Nazi-regime tactics that undermine the liberties of fellow Americans. All the while, the federal government must help the state control illegal immigration, which it has certainly failed to do.

Sir-
The ancient Egyptians were of African descent-
Most of the whites in this country have been brainwashed by the media into believing they have exclusive rights to this country- and the racism is terrible.
But let me point something else out-
A superior attitude does not exclusively belong to white folks- try talking to some highly educated african americans. They act worse than the white folks.
And don't dare come in contact with black ivy league college graduates, because they'll do even worse. You can't even talk to them.
So there are a lot of racist in the world. But black folks can be racist too..........
Along with mexicans, indians, chinese, japanese, and rappers..........

Black people can't be racist. We live in a system of white supremacy. White Supremacy IS racism, as race was created and applied by white people.
- The equation is White over non white - and always has been.

I looked at the mural...and the face "is shaded to represent a number o groups."
"If it is the case that the mural features black and brown children at the exclusion of whites, then I can understand the backlash of local residents"
JL: The thing about that statement is.....if the face was that of a White person...there would NOT be a backlash from Whites.
How many murals in Arizona have White faces vs. People of Color?!

Arizona School Plans to Whiten Faces on a Mural
Why are there any surprises? This is just another “Self-Evident” display as to who the “REAL” troublemakers are.
Whites have a genuine fear-laced hatred of blacks and really don’t know why.
But Evil by nature always quivers at the Good in spirit.
Although whites use the negativity of blacks shown in their white media “TODAY” as a means of defining or labeling their reason for hating blacks decades earlier, whites fail to realize their expression of genetically encoded hatred upon blacks predated their current excuses for it by generations. Historical Facts reviles whites having a long track record of engaging in racially vindictive acts towards blacks since first contact what all they had to go on was just SKIN COLOR alone. However, when whites lack evidence to support their excuses, they resort to racial harassments to craft one.
The CAUSE that lead to the EFFECTS for the RESULTS seen.
When will whites ever realize that they see is nothing more that the byproducts of their own perpetual vindictiveness.
This is indicative to Whites cursing and attacking bad products while dusting-off and polishing the machine that’s creating it.

A mural of ANY kind is de-facing the building. The building looks much better with the bricks unpainted. It seems it's now politically correct to have urban spray paint on EVERYTHING. I see it on freeway underpasses and more and more on the side of buildings. This is an example of gutter Negro culture seeping into the mainstream.
That said, it's also politically correct that ALL the faces in the mural be brown or black, even though Prescott is a predominately white city.
This politically correct BS is getting so bad, it's near the boiling point where whites are getting fed up with it. That's why I like to see stories like this one, the more extreme this crap gets the more white people will wake up.

If my daughter had not fallen head over hills for this black guy she is married to, I would not be so bitter. He took her away from me, like a thief in the knife. Married her, and she lives in a fine home. One I could never afford to give her or her siblings. I am just a poor peck a wood, back woods racist idiot.
He wears a size 14 shoe, and you know the rest of the story. Once she went black, she never came back. He has her walking really really bow-legged, I guess he put it on her as I heard about the brothers. I have been really ignorant, and bigoted here. This explains my anger. So, people, let me vent, maybe my dear daughter will come back to me.....
