Chris Brown Denied Entry in to Europe, Tour Canceled

R&B singer Chris Brown who had a mega promotional European tour scheduled, which was due to begin on June, has been scrapped indefinitely. Apparently, Brown was denied a work visa by government officials. Why in the world would he be denied entry in to the UK?

Can you say felony?

The British government does not take folks who have been accused and convicted of a felonious crime lightly, and they reserve the right to be selective as to whom they allow into their country.

Last year, Brown was accused of assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. He was sentenced to five years probation, a year of domestic abuse counseling and community service. The 21-year-old was also ordered to stay at least 50 yards (now 10 yards) from his former lady love, except during industry events. He is also forbidden to have any contact with the songstress whatsoever -- no texting, e-mails or phone calls.

Since news of the assault broke last February, Brown has had a difficult time trying to make amends while also struggling to get his singing and acting career back on track. Concert ticket sales have been sluggish, as many fans have turned their back on Brown, which is evidenced by his poor CD sales. Many have speculated that the assault was career suicide for Brown.

Now, Brown is faced with being a no-show in a tour that was expected to hit places like Dublin and London. The tour's promoters, SJM, is advising ticket holders to not lose faith and keep those stubs handy because there could be "possible re-arranged dates."

Brown tweeted about the canceled tour and had this to say:

"Sorry to all my fans in Europe!!! my tour is cancelled. I'm pretty sure y'all know. My entry was denied in your country. I love you. Sorry!!"

The tweet was deleted a short while later.

Meanwhile, the British Home Office had a few choice words to say about the incident:

"We reserve the right to refuse entry to the U.K. to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offense. Public safety is one of our primary concerns. ... Each application to enter the U.K. is considered on its individual merits."

On Monday, Brown tweeted the following:

"U ever feel like the storm clouds are too thick for any sunshine to get through?"

Well, it's apparent that someone is singing the blues over this entire incident. Rest assured, we'll let you know if the sun finally peers through for Brown.

Stay posted!
