The Globe Magazine got a hold of
pictures of a dying Gary Coleman that are set to be released on Friday.
Todd Bridges (pictured below), who co-starred with Gary Coleman on the popular sitcom, "
Diff'rent Strokes," was allowed to see the photos in advance of their being published. Bridges was not happy.
"It's horrible. It's absolutely horrible. And I hope that whoever is responsible for this, and the people that are involved in this, people that are in the pictures, I hope they burn in hell," said Bridges, when appearing to discuss the issue on
Entertainment Tonight.
What was most shocking was that even
TMZ, a place known for the dirtiest of dirty celebrity gossip, refused to publish the photos. The Globe Magazine apparently has no such standard. A representative of Shannon Price has stated that Shannon is "very hurt by the pictures getting out there," but the problem for Price is that she is actually in the pictures that were taken.
Bridges was very blunt in his criticism of Price, saying, "Her face is in the photo but she doesn't know anything about the photos? You know who took the darn pic. How are you going to sit there and lie?"
Gary Coleman's existence was sad in life and appears to be just as complicated in death. To see both he and fellow 1980s icon
Michael Jackson go out in this way has been sad and painful for everyone watching. I personally do not want to see Gary Coleman's deathbed pictures in The Globe Magazine or anywhere else, and I hope that the rest of America refuses to look at the pictures as well. We all know that Gary Coleman is dead, and that's where we need to leave it. Let's try to remember him for the good times.

Gary's Wife knows more than she telling, her phone call to the police sounded so fake and unconcern. I hopeflly if there is enough out cry the police will investigate this crime further than what there doing now.

These photos with his ex-wife are OUTRAGEOUS. It is downright appalling that there has been no police investigation into his death. Where are the Domestic Violence advocates at now? They NEVER represent the men! Gary and his ex-wife both had domestic violence cases against each other. If Gary's wife ended up dead the police and the press would have tried to string Gary up. Domestic Violence is a serious problem but NO ONE speaks out for violence against men. The 911 tape of his ex-wife speaks volumes. And what exactly was Gary trying to say in the backgroud of that 911 tape? And why is Todd the ONLY celebrity speaking up for Gary.

I could care less what Gary's white wife wants to do with his remains, as a black woman I am now dedicating my time and voice to strong black men who cares for my black ass. Brothers please take a page out Gary's book because the same or worst might happen to you.

I have to agree with you coco, I don't think a Black woman would have sold pictures of her dying husband to a rag like the globe. I just don't think we are wired that way, that is why we don't have televised or magazines such as ET, Hollywood Access or Globe, and why you don't see much of us in their rag media.

CoCo is totally right. You look at all the black stars, athletes, buisnessmen who decided to marry or even have an unmeaningful relationship with. Too many find out that what there mothers told them about white women is true. They just want your big penis and your money. When they are done they cry rape, abuse, or both. Just ask Brandon Underwood of the Green Bay Packers. He was just acused of raping 2 women(at the same time!) But when the facts came out they changed there stories 2 times. Then it comes out that they were hookers and he paid them for sex.
