Forest Lawn in Glendale, Calif., where Michael Jackson is in his final resting place, may allow fans to visit the grounds of his regal tomb on the first anniversary of his death, June 25th.
Arrangements are being finalized now that will allow folks to pay their respects to the King of Pop on the cemetery grounds but not at the Great Mausoleum, where the body is actually interred.
Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz told the L.A. Times newspaper, "We understand that Forest Lawn is working with the Jackson family for some kind of commemoration," Lorenz said. "We will be working closely with Forest Lawn to ensure the safety of those who want to pay their respects to Michael Jackson while ensuring the safety of others who are coming to the cemetery to pay respects to their loved ones."
Although fans will not be allowed to enter the mausoleum, plans are being worked out as to how close they can actually get to the burial site. Sgt. Lorenz says that people will be viewing the structure from a distance.
There will be no special permits issued for the anniversary commemoration, so peddlers of Michael Jackson memorabilia will not be allowed to sell their wares and streets will not be closed off. If any vendors do attempt to sell pop icon–related merchandise, their goods will be confiscated and they will be hauled off to jail.
It is reported that the Jackson family is working with cemetery officials on commemoration festivities, but no details have been released.
Since Jackson was interred last September, only a select few have been allowed access to his burial place.
Sgt. Lorenz does assure anxiously awaiting fans that, "We will be working closely with Forest Lawn to ensure the safety of those who want to pay their respects to Michael Jackson, while ensuring the safety of others who are coming to the cemetery to pay respect to their loved ones."

That ought to make a lot of his fans happy. However if there are too many people I don't see how they could possibly accomodate everyone without them feeling they made a wasted trip.

I was just thinking the same thing. I don't know how they are going to be able to let all of his fans in. Not even to just walk by. It's gonna be crazy but I will be there. LOL! MY cousin is a suuper MJ fan and she has been waiting for this opportunity. I wonder if they will let people camp outside the night before. Whatever, I'll be there.

I would rather be at his actual grave. Then to be gazing where it is. But I'm sure they will come up with something. But that cemetery is going to be packed .People going to be there from all over the world.R.i.P.

It doesn't matter where you are standing, Creature Worship is unexceptable. Michael is dead. He is not aware of what's taking place (Eccl.9:5 and Ps. 146:4)

Why not allow fans to visit all of the time? Michael was apart of all of our lives. California also footed the bill for all the security , feeding the cops , etc... its only fair for all!
