Gary Coleman's Ex Wife Shannon Price Files Papers to Get Claim Over Entire Estate

Shannon Price, the ex-wife of Gary Coleman, is certainly keeping herself busy these days, trying desperately to muscle in on Coleman's estate. Price, who was recently embroiled in everything from orchestrating death shots of Coleman to sell to shopping around interviews asking to be paid up to $50,000 to cleaning out all that the actor owned in his home with her family members, is now filing court papers to take over the estate.

Former manager and confidant Dion Mial was recently named executor of Coleman's will. Mial has had no qualms about speaking his mind when it comes to how he feels about Price. In face, he has publicly stated that Price has "absolutely no rights or authority, with regard to the disposition of Gary's remains, services, estate management." Now the 24-year-old redhead is claiming otherwise.

Price, who divorced Coleman back in 2008, is now asking the court to prevent Mial from performing any acts of administration with regards to Coleman's estate. Price has also reportedly stated in the legal documents that she was Coleman's common-law wife and not having a say in the disposition of his remains "could have a potentially devastating effect" on her.

Since Utah does recognize common-law marriage, the young woman is claiming that after the divorce, she and Coleman continued to live together, have sexual relations, share bank accounts and file joint tax returns consecutively for three years from 2007 to 2009.

According to published reports, Price is also saying that she is the sole beneficiary on a pension account and was listed as an agent to make life or death medical decisions on Coleman's behalf. There is also a mention of a 2007 will, "Addendum to All Wills and Trusts," which may allegedly cancel out the original one which was drawn up in 1999, which gives Mial executorship over Coleman's estate.

TMZ obtained a copy of the "Addendum" in question and it is entirely handwritten. Price is asserting that this document was written by Coleman back in 2007, declaring her the "sole heir of any and all monies, properties, bank accounts, earnings, model trains, vehicles, cars, toys, games, electronics, homes, other inheritances if any, all things physical and/or intellectual." The testament goes on to state, "This I have done because of my personal selfishness and weakness and I Love her with all my heart."

Unfortunately, I have a feeling this situation will continue to play out much, much longer, with Price stopping at nothing to get all that she can.
