Oprah Winfrey Embroiled in Vote-Rigging Scandal Against Disabled

Rumors are swirling that the reigning queen of daytime talk show Oprah Winfrey may not be playing fair with a reality show contest she is currently running on her Web site.

Winfrey created an online contest, in which potential contestants were asked to submit a video explaining why they should be the stars of their own reality show on her network; visitors are given the opportunity to vote for the best video presentation.

Contestant Jack Anner, 25, was leading the pack of possible TV host contenders by leaps and bounds. The Austin, Texas, native has cerebral palsy, and on the video, he cleverly refers to his disability as "the sexiest of all palsies." Anner's wit and sense of humor has won over, thus far, nearly 6.9 million voters.

Another contestant, Phyllis, who is black and seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, has managed to get nearly 6 million votes. The educator came on the scene after Anner had been in his comfy, unchallenged spot for quite a while. As a matter of fact, Phyllis overtook Anner at one point, in a mere 20 minutes, by getting more than 300,000 votes.

Many folks who casted their votes are not happy campers. Some are claiming that their vote was not counted and are spreading the word about foul play involved in tallying the votes. Some Oprah-bashers have gone even further by pointing the accusatory finger directly at her, spewing hateful words and claiming that she personally rigged the voting so that Phyllis would eventually win the competition.

On the flip side, staunch Winfrey supporters are staying true blue and defending the diva till the very end.

For now, everyone will just have to take a wait-and-see approach until the contest ends on June 26.
