The real hypocrites oath will forever be linked to University of Georgia Athletic Director Damon Evans, who got busted for drunk driving after cutting an anti-drunk-driving public service announcement for the university.
In the videotaped message, Evans tells fans who attend Georgia Bulldog football games, "Don't drink and drive and don't let your friends drink and drive, because if you drink and drive, you lose."
Evans was pulled over in his BMW earlier this week and arrested for DUI. He refused to take a breathalyzer test.
A female companion was also taken into custody and arrested for disorderly conduct. Evans apologized to the university for bringing "a black cloud" over the program, but he might have to save his most heartfelt mea culpa for his wife, Kerri.
Evans recently signed a five-year contract that increased his annual salary to $550,000. My guess is that unless he has serious alcohol problems, he is going to fly the straight and narrow path from now on.
He didn't get where he is by being stupid, and he has a lot to lose. Now it's time for Evans to live up to the words he spouted off to football fans and get a designated driver if he's going to drink.

Ouch!!! I have to agree with you Paul, he may need to be more worried about having to explain to his wife who this other woman was than his "not so bright" decision to ride drunk!!! Every one jacks up once in a while, he is no different. However I think the University will be more forgiving than his wife will be!!! This will be worth watching down the road!

We're supposed to be a forgiving nation and willing to give everyone a second chance. That's the side I choose. The situation with Mr. and Mrs. Evans is best handled among themselves.

..the DUI charges will be dropped and unfounded and Mr Evans may plea to a lesser charge if any charge at all.. as result- he didn't take a breathalyzer test, and for Mr. Evans to do so would build the case for the cop who stopped him..so it was very smart of Mr. Evans to not take the breathalyzer test.. and for Mr. Evans to do- admits he was drinking..and furthermore, the COP who administered the breathalyzer test..I wouldn't TRUST..Cops are notorious for tampering with and framing test-evidence with regard to BLACKS historically..when they- the COP MADE a mistake with regard to blacks..even if it means to shoot 30 rounds into a victim's back on his day- pre-wedding day..and the COPS walk free..
.. so without the breathalyzer test evidence, the COP can't prove Mr. Evans HAD a drink at all or DUI.. so the DUMB azz cop ASSUMED and stoppped him because of what he assumed.. or simply racially profile Mr. Evans- DWB.."driving while black" an expensive vehicle. White males can't stand seeing a blackman driving an expensive vehicle.."THEY ALL must be a drug dealers.. to drive such an expensive car, right?"
This man MAKES over half a million dollars HONESTLY.. he can DRIVE whatever expensive car he LIKES.. and its sheer specualtion the woman was anything other than a companion of NO consequence..people need NOT ADD to the SMEAR campaigne..before he or she gets sued..for making FALSE statements..

@ B.. sure we can question how authenic the article actually is.. however, even though you would like to see Mr. Evans go down for whatever reason in your head ..and you and I were not there to witness the incident ..
..the article STATED Mr. Evans RECENTLY SIGN a contract for 500+ thousand..which to me saids he is making that amount of MONEY..its not a pending contract he would be making that amount of money..he is making that amount of money when he signed the contract.. and also until there's a court rendered a guilty decision with regard to the aledged DUI.. he's NOT guilty, but only guilty in the eyes of those like yourshelf of public opinion..so I'm optimistic..even I have been accused of a crime at the hands of cops and found not guilty and my record expuned..and I sued and was awarded 5 thousand and a written apology from the police commissioner..although I would have like the letter from the cop who started it all..I settled for the 5 thousand and the letter to keep my case from going to trial and risk losing to a..let me say a biased jury in favor of the cop.

Two words to describe this intelligent man who had it all,....INCREDIBLY STUPID!
The Bulldog Nation will be better off without someone like Mr. Evans at the top.
