A former lawyer for the Justice Department claims that charges of voter intimidation against two New Black Panther Party members were dropped because the rights of white voters are often ignored and only minorities are protected by our nation's civil rights laws.
Former Justice Department attorney J. Christian Adams (pictured above) says the case, in which two New Black Panther Party members stood outside a polling place on election day in 2008 and hurled racial epitaphs, such as "white devil," proves an unwillingness to apply the laws equally.
The AP writes:
On Election Day 2008, King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson dressed in black uniforms of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, whose website recently made such statements as, "the white man has kept us deaf, dumb and blind, and used every `dirty trick' in the book to stand in the way of our freedom and independence." The men stationed themselves near the entrance to a polling place in a largely black neighborhood. Shabazz carried a nightstick. Their actions quickly came to the attention of police, who told Shabazz to leave but allowed Jackson, a certified poll watcher, to remain.
Shortly before President George W. Bush left office, the Justice Department filed a civil lawsuit against the two men, the New Black Panther Party and its leader, Malik Zulu Shabazz. The defendants never responded to the government's lawsuit, which had the same effect as a guilty plea. Before any penalties could be handed down - and after Obama appointed Eric Holder to run the Justice Department - charges were dropped against everyone but Samir Shabazz. The court prohibited him from displaying a weapon within 100 feet of any Philadelphia polling place through 2012.
The Justice Department has explained this decision by saying that Jackson was a certified poll watcher who did not carry any weapons, that the New Black Panther website denounced the actions in Philadelphia and that the group had no national plan to intimidate voters.
"To some, the civil rights laws are not meant to protect all Americans, they are meant to protect certain Americans," said Adams, who helped prosecute the Black Panther case. He is a conservative.
"There is a pervasive hostility within the civil rights division at the Justice Department toward these sorts of cases" where blacks are accused of discrimination," Adams added on Fox News.
First of all, the civil rights laws should apply to everyone. However, it's clear that minorities -- by an overwhelming margin-- are the most frequent victims of civil rights discrimination. It's like being a doctor and having one patient with cancer and another with a cold. I think most everyone agrees that patient with cancer should get more urgent attention than the patient with the cold.
That said, the Justice Department should pursue all viable civil rights cases. It just seems the department determined this wasn't a viable case. The same thing happened with the New York City shooting of Sean Bell, an unarmed black men. More than 50 shots were fired at Bell and his friends the day before his wedding. I didn't feel this outrage when the Justice Department declined to pursue civil rights charges regarding Bell's death.
The Bush administration was right to investigate what they saw as a possible civil rights violation; however, it's a little backwards that the Bush administration, which filed so few civil rights cases during its tenure, would ironically choose a reverse discrimination sort of case to pursue.
Under Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department explained its decision to drop the charges. One of the men was a certified poll watcher who did not have weapons and new Black Panther Party officials denounced the actions of its members.
The Justice Department also determined that, unlike a lot of civil rights cases involving minorities, there was no national plan to intimidate voters. The cases that the Justice Department recently brought against mortgage lenders is a good example of a nationwide, far-reaching effort to violate individuals' civil rights.
Bringing attention to this one case to prove that the rights of Caucasians are not protected in this country is a bit of a stretch.
Of course, each situation should be judged on a case-by-case basis and the civil rights of all Americans should be protected.

.......the no good perjured testimony of Julius Butler that contributed to the 27 years of unwarranted imprisonment of Geronimo Pratt......
......Geronimo Pratt being an honorably discharged Vietnam War Veteran, being one of multiple examples.
"In August 1969 Butler was expelled from the Black Panther Party. Two days later, he produced a "letter" which he said he had written earlier, accusing Geronimo Pratt of the 1968 robbery. The police used this "letter" as a pretext to arrest, frame and convict Geronimo. Evidence of the Frame-up The new hearings in Geronimo's case, which began December 16 in Santa Ana, California, centered around Julius Butler.
......Butler is now a lawyer and the chairman of the board of directors of the First AME Church, one of the largest Black churches in L.A.......
.........For the first time in 25 years, Julius Butler was forced to testify about his role in the railroad of Geronimo.
......And as soon as Butler opened his mouth, it was clear that he is still working to help the government frame-up of Geronimo and keep him in jail. Geronimo's lawyers produced documents from the LAPD, FBI and L.A. County DA's office identifying Butler as a government informant."
.......and due to the disgrace within our own community, Julius Butler is worshipped, idolized, considered or deemed an outstanding citizen......
..........all while individuals such as New Black Party Head Malik Zulu Shabazz and/or others place the demise of the Black community on Caucasians, etc., etc.,......
.....while giving Julius Butler, and/or other misfits a free pass, a Get out of Jail Free Card, change the subject matter, refuse to place blame with the Black community itself, you name it!

Say What! The laws are the same for everyone? You have to be joking. I saw a video last night about the Chris Brown and Rihanna fight with T.V. so-call judge Mathis commenting, he stated that no man should ever hit a woman and if attacked, the man should run and run to avoid her. Now, this is a so-call black judge saying it is acceptable for a woman to attack a man and that it is in the best interest of the victimized man to run rather than defending himself. You think this equates to equal justice when even judges believe as this efeminate male judge? His mother did a job on him.

Black achievement and our receipt of fair treatment by the authorities are considered intolerable attacks on white privilege -- by some. As a 66 year old Black man with an earned MBA from a highly competitive predominantly white DC university, a former US Army commissioned officer -- Vietnam era, with a tested IQ of 144, and 41 years of post military, affirmative action facilitated work experience in the public and private sectors, I say this: No matter what a Black person or Black people achieve in this country, no matter the sacrifice to him/herself and/or by his family, there will be those in the well connected, privileged numeric majority who will seek to kill, steal, tarnish, and destroy all of the actual or intended good inherent in the individual person's and those people's heart, mind, body, soul, intentions, and achievements. To avoid this one must fight the good fight and either be stronger than strong [Jack Johnson, Jackie Robinson, etc]; be better than the best [Jesse Owens, Colin Powell, Barack Obama]; or acquiese and make a deal with the devil himself almost and become a total and complete racial and cultural "sell out" at ALL times in ALL places [Clarence Thomas, Ward Conley, Jesse Lee Peterson, etc]. It is a crying shame. A former decorated US marine and church pastor in Chicago once said it Wright when he said: " God....[bless America and bless her appropriately]". The blessing -- It's coming and coming sooner and bigger than you can imagine. Selah.

You have a good set of ideas that are being made all the more difficult because of the rise of those who.."acquiese and make a deal with the devil himself almost and become a total and complete racial and cultural "sell out" at ALL times in ALL places [Clarence Thomas, Ward Conley, Jesse Lee Peterson, etc]. "
These are "men" who imagine they've figured out our ages old problem of racism; how do/can we live in peace and dignity. Folks like Michael Lofton who flood the thread with null points and one-sided examples, while avoiding the other parts of this history buy into "truth" of this rhetoric and the fact is he is probably born and raised in such a one-sided society he didn't see anyone that looks like him for months except his parents. Whether he's that or a disgruntled project kid, his rhetoric is more self destructive than generally informational.
It's a simple rationale seen (by him) as a necessary step stone to success.
This is what makes black-on-black crime such a waste, as that too is a rationale that is improperly arrived at.
A strong and determined Black America is the only solution. Quiet attainment of information and resources that can be used to slowly and inexorably illuminate the
"black" masses so that the number of these "sell outs" can diminish to the point of extinction. These people are the danger far beyond those whites harboring the Peckerwood Perspective of selective consideration of history to provide "facts" about anyone of color (lying to look superior). Historically speaking they're the indian scout that travels with the cavalry, or that ex-slave that shows the "right and upstanding white citizens" where that "illegal" negro shanty town was located.
In the end, we (relatively) responsible black citizenry are placed in a perpetual state of danger by both sides, so it becomes necessary to quietly consider banding together to protect our interests, which happens to include our lives.
The Peckerwood's fear of a black planet means certain privileges of theirs will be revoked (in their limited vision) if blacks do what is suggested above. If every black/POC would realize this, these "sell outs" will become a thing of the past.

Black on Black crime will continue as long as Blacks sit back and do nothing about it. I give God praise that I didn't live back in Slavery yet I know we are still in a form of slavery, especially when I visit the prisons and see where the prisons are located at.
Black on Black crime is deep but white on black crime is worst. It is so deep and so normal that even our own foolish blacks don't tempt to do anything about it, to talk about it is nothing if nothing is going to be done about it.
When a male or female gets shot in the back its murder “Murder” and it does not matter who shot him or her. But when a officer of the law shoots and kills anyone it should hold the same merits. Murder is murder and there are many blacks filling up grave space today that didn't have to die.
Color of the skin will always and have always made a great different here in America. Blacks are not free and have never been free. Freedom means "No limitations", or "Equal Opportunity” we don't have either although the White in leadership would like for us to believe it. And many blacks or people of color tell themselves they do until they try and do something that the white race has decreed that they can’t do. Like live next door etc; once the word is out that Blacks are moving in the neighbourhoods diversity disappear . It’s okay to do CNA, Baby-sat their children, cook their meals but it isn’t okay to marry their love ones, they might even think they like you until you cross that line.
When ever a person of Color denies the White race anything a problem soon occur. Take a good look inside the prisons Mr/Mrs Ernest/Ernestine. Visit for yourself and be honest for once in your life. Where are the prisons for the White race etc;? The prison for the Black race or People of Color are all located in the White Suburbs or the Small White towns. And the white man is still building them. Notice the more they build the more get filled, it’s like they know when to build the prisons, and when they will be filled. Who’s hired to watch over these inmates? Whites etc; There are no blacks or people of color working on the police force in these little towns because there are no people of color or blacks living in these towns. These jobs are created so that the white race etc; can have income and comfort. There isn’t even transportation in and out of these towns for the black or people of color to visit there love ones.
The bus great hound, Amtrak etc; does not go there, and the cabs and taxis doesn't work on weekend or they stops around 2 p.m or must be called from another town making it almost impossible to get service if one gets to the town by bus or train they must have a place to stay over night because buses or trains that go to these towns only go there once a day.
Money is to be made for the white man no matter what is going on. Yes the white man looks out for his own so when Abraham Lincoln dropped slavery, they dropped him in the head with a bullet; he took away their income and lively hood. And what did these brainy but wickiest people do, they created another means of survival. Black prisons in white towns mean income. No longer did the Black or people of color have to be bed warmers or breeders or work in the whites fields and homes. They now breed willingly. Lincoln freed Blacks from one confinement and stupidity led into another.
The Willie Lynch letter might not be real but it’s contains are. Black people and people of color are still looked upon as sub-human beings. The things that happen to us in court and out of court do not happen to these pale people. It life sentences is to be given for using drugs or selling drugs the prisons should be filled with Whites. They would truly have to rush build more prisons.
If robberies bring life sentences then the prisons should be filled with whites. “The smaller the crimes the bigger the fines”. Why because most blacks and people of color does not get the opportunity to get up there in high office to steal or investor.
The white man or woman sentences are nothing compared to these petty thieves that the blacks are caught doing. A white will commit suicide then to go to prison leaving behind wounded families from their selfishness and cowardice stands larking waiting for them. Their children kill them much more then any race because they are much more crueller then people of color, as time have developed blacks have become copy cats. The people of color are imitating these murdering thieves they claim to hate.
Tim Crow is alive and kicking, killing a mocking bird can be found all over the USA. Light bright only meant one was born by mixed race in the days of old. Now it means nothing at all. Children are born every day of men and women of interracial marriage that truly loves each other but are afraid of what awaits their children.
Our president is only one of many that escape this horrible life that mixed children have to endure. Yet he’s not out of the dark yet. If some of these white folks could have their way they would lynch him without a second glance.
Do the cops shoot blacks more then whites? Yes they do. And everybody knows it. Do whites commit crime? Yes they do. It’s who you know and what you know that helps.
Whites kill and bury their victims, family etc; blacks foolishly turn on each other, sell each other out. Silent is Golden sometimes. Yet so bitterly cruel. Murder is murder, you can’t give a life, you shouldn’t take a life. Whose gonna pay for all the rape babies born doing slavery? Will God forgive these murderers and rapist and not forgive these men and women in prison that harmed only themselves by using drugs, selling drugs? Which is worst selling drugs or taking a life? With each person thrown in prison for life or die in prison because some judge or lawyer felt they didn’t deserve to live out here in society will God forgive them? For all the abortions that is taking place will God forgive them. If what is done in the dark comes to the light the white man has Hell to pay.
Someone said this is Hell. No it's only one step into hell if you don't know the Lord.

Racism where did it come from? who started it? Is it in the Bible? Do any one know how to bring Racism to a stop? Who made man's laws for all race of people? Please tell me somewhere alone the line I got loss. How did African American man come to be? Did God make the Negro, color folks, or African American race or the Slave owners? If the white man made the Negro, Blackman, Color folks, Black American isn't he responsible for him instead of blaming God or expecting God to be responsible for him?
If the white man had owned up to all of his rapes and babies the world would be a better place. Light Bright could be happy and just maybe the world would be a better place instead of everybody being in denial.
I am a beautiful nut brown, Black Woman whose does not care if my ancestors are white, black, blue or pink, my blood is red and my life isn't messed up, nor is that of my children. My earthly father was a Black man and my earthly mother is 96 years old who have turned senior gracefully. My slave ancestor was not lazy people or begging people, but a people who demand respect from the richest man. I hold my head high because I have no disgraced blood running in my vain. All that was ill within me or my ancestor have been cleansed through my Lord and Savior. I sit among the highest of women. I am one of the mothers of Creation and I know it.
What is done in the dark comes to the light is true. Keep living you will see. Not one of us have a Heaven to place anyone in or a Hell. So why can't we get alone. Not a one of us is taking anything with us, nor do we know whose going to receive what we leave behind. Children now days only want to live, love and learn until they listen to racism family members most of the time. Those standing on corners are loss because somewhere down the line God did not exist in their young lives or home. Our children live what they learn and learn what they live. Once in a while one might go astray but seldom do a child that is taught of God the Father slip so far out of reach until he or she can't be brought back. It's time to realize that the fruit of our wombs are the future and there is no turning back. Get it right in the High Chair and we might not have to watch them in the electric chair. that Chair is no respect of persons. A heartless person is a lonely person who are always out to find fault in someone. If you think my Blackness makes me stupid that's okay see I know who I am and whose I am.

Fast forward about forty years, will white people be afforded the so-called advantages as minorities get today? Folks, we as a society need to take a breath and defrag.
