Cad-about-town Tiki Barber has been hit with a $1-million lawsuit by a fitness company that has rendered him "worthless overnight" as its spokesperson, because he cheated on his pregnant wife.
Flywheel Sports hired the ex-NFL Giants superstar last year to be the face of the company on the basis that Barber and his estranged wife, Ginny, were allegedly a happily married celebrity couple who loved to attend cycling classes together.
According to the lawsuit, the company heads thought that the Barbers were the perfect representation for their brand, which targeted a core clientele of 25- to- 55-year-old married women with children.
The company states in the lawsuit that its core clientele was fuming over Barber's very public extramarital affair with 23-year-old Traci Lynn Johnson while Ginny was pregnant with twins.
Barber's world just seems to have imploded since he made the decision to leave his 11-year marriage to pursue a more scandelous lifestyle. NBC Sports Network parted ways with Barber and did not renew their NFL coverage contract with him earlier this year. Barber's role as an NBC 'Today Show' reporter faded in to black in May, a position that resulted in a $300,000-a-year financial loss. Now the former gridiron great is in the throes of a messy divorce.
The dueling couple have lobbed charges at each other: Reportedly, Barber's camp claims that Ginny is demanding $150,000 a month in alimony and child support. They are also alleging that Ginny hired a baby nurse to care for her newborn twins at $60,000 a year and that her legal bills tally $75,000 a month.
Ginny's reps are denying all of the claims. They are also adamant about the fact that there is no baby nurse in the picture who is caring for the Barber twins.
Is tacky Tiki getting his just desserts? As the pudding thickens, stay tuned....

As a black man I hate to agree with the bitter sounding comments on here but Tiki like most black male athletes are getting what he deserve. Most black male athletes are broke by the time they turn 40. What they don't blow on extravagant lifestyles most of that money goes to white, asian and latina women. Sure their are some black female golddiggers out their but black men should have learned a lesson from 400 yrs of slavery and 200 more years of Jim Crow.
There are so many problems facing lower class black communities as far as lack of economic development and jobs. All these self hating ignorant wealthy black clowns do is give their money away to people outside their race who probably wouldn't have anything to do with them if they were not rich. I'm sure they have white financial advisers who steer them towards giving a few tax deductible dollars to black charities (handouts). But the bulk of their wealth is going into the pockets of WHITES. In Tiki's case..WHITE WOMEN!
This is a sad example of how those of us who achieve turn their back not only on black women but black people as a race. Instead of all black athletes using some of their wealth to try to address many of the problems facing their race, instead the Tiki's of the black athletic world spend the bulk of their money on white, asian and latino women.

I believe the point of the story is that he left a good woman with children. Your main concern is that he left her for a white woman. Would it really make you feel better if he had left her for another black woman?

I could give a damn about color on either side of it. It's just corruption by money and fame. These people go broke splurging on their image without a care about the future. Got to have the best car, nicest house, hottest wife, fifty girlfriends, most expensive clothes and champagne. No one pities them when they make an ass of themselves or go broke.

Maybe it is not about money? Maybe Tiki should do his race a benefit by being a husband/father/provider. Not some cheating, back talking, stupid, soon to be broke former black athlete.
