Lil Wayne Expected To Be Released From Prison In November

Hip-hop megastar Lil Wayne may be tipping his cap goodbye to fellow inmates at New York City's Riker's Island earlier than expected.

The 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was placed on lockdown for a year, after pleading guilty to gun-possession charges.

Back in March, Wayne entered one of the country's most violent correctional facilities. Riker's is notorious for its overcapacity, corrupt officials, and violent criminals, such as the infamous Son of Sam and drug kingpin Larry Davis.

Before Wayne gets approved for an early release and is set free from the place where entertainers like Shyne and Tupac Shakur passed through, he has to continue to adhere to some rules that can't be broken.

If the performer keeps his nose clean, abides by all of the facility's regulations and has no behavioral issues or infractions, then on Nov. 4, he could step out and breathe the air of freedom.

Meanwhile, Wayne is reportedly making the best out of a bad situation by having an album release in September and hitting the stage to perform concerts when he leaves prison.
