Evander Holyfield's Son Arrested For Drug Possession

The son of former heavyweight boxing legend Evander Holyfield was busted for drug possession last Saturday by Atlanta police after they discovered marijuana hidden throughout his vehicle.
Information was released on Wednesday night about the incident involving 20-year-old Ewin Ezekiel Holyfield, who was arrested and charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, an expired tag, and defective equipment.

In addition to the marijuana, police found a small bag of white pills in Holyfield's vehicle.

Holyfield was taken to the Fayetteville County jail and released Sunday on a $2,726 bond.

The senior Holyfield, who is a five-time world heavyweight champion had a run-in earlier this year with authorities as well. His wife of seven years, Candi, accused the boxer of hitting, choking and throwing a bottle of water at her in front of two of their children. Candi also claimed that Holyfield's physical abuse began just six months into their marriage, when she was pregnant with their first child.

Holyfield has not commented on his son's arrest.
