Sasha are headed for a little rest and relaxation on a mother/daughter vacation to Spain next week.
The White House made the announcement on Monday that only 9-year-old Sasha will be making the journey with her mom. Twelve-year-old Malia is away at camp and will not be able to join the mother/daughter trip.
The Spanish press is reporting that the trip is scheduled for August 4th to August 8th at the Villa Padierna in Marbella. The First Lady is said to be meeting with the country's King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia. No details about their meeting or vacation itinerary have been released.
Although President Obama's birthday is August 4th, he will not be celebrating it with his family. Instead, the President will be bringing in his 49th year with a gala fundraiser at the home of billionaire Neil Bluhm. It is reported that each guest in attendance will donate $30,000 to the Democratic National Committee.
The first family is expected to vacation again later during the month of August on the Florida Gulf Coast for a weekend, then it's on to Martha's Vineyard for 10 days.
Recently, conservatives criticized President Obama for vacationing. What's wrong with taking some days to re-energize yourself? After all, do you really ever take time off from being the president of the United States?

They did not talk about the 40 friends and family going with. Ms. Michelle made the reservations herself, although at another resort. Wonder who is paying the tab? You and I?

Yes, the taxpayers are paying the tab for 40 rooms at $2800+ per night. Plus the dog is going. So the first family is really feeling out pain, eh?

Yes, I agree he should be gone, but just in case you did not know, impeach does not mean to remove from office, only "to accuse (a public official) before an appropriate tribunal of misconduct in office." Presidents may be impeached but remain in office, the usually resign, however.

This is ridiculous how the Obama's milk the taxpayers for endless expensive vacations. They are always on vacation and now the wife is taking them without the husband to make sure they cover all the expensive resorts here and overseas. These people are disgusting and should never be voted back into office. Obama has done nothing for us he promised so much and the liar delievered nothing. They shouldn't even run for office anymore if they've made enough money this term they can make vacationing a profession. Its the only thing they're good at. They love to hob nob with the rich and forgot about the poor whom some don't even know what a vacation is.
