Actress Maia Campbell, daughter of renowned novelist Bebe Moore Campbell, has been caught on tape behaving in a bizarre manner again. Watch below:
In this latest video, the former co-star of the '90s TV sitcom 'In the House,' who acted opposite rapper-actor L.L. Cool J, was taped pacing up and down an L.A. street, dressed haphazardly and spewing nonsensical phrases.
Campbell's erratic behavior looks drug-induced.
Unfortunately, this behavior is not new for Campbell. Last year, she was caught looking disheveled, eating a bag of potato chips in a car and again demonstrating behavior that caused many to speculate that she's abusing narcotics. In the video, she used foul language and blabbed about everything from trying to find her baby girl, to wanting to murder a man through Mafia ties.
In addition, the Santa Monica Daily Press reported last month that when Campbell was stopped by police for irresponsible driving, her vehicle was found to have one vial of cocaine. Campbell, who seemed jittery and unable to follow directions, was later charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, driving without a license, and a probation violation.
Ironically, Campbell's mother, who died in 2006 and was a three-time New York Times best-selling author, journalist and a regular commentator on National Public Radio, was very much interested in mental health issues. She even wrote a book that served as the catalyst for the subject that won the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill Outstanding Literature Award for 2003.
Someone needs to get this young lady help and fast.

BeBe Moore Campbell did not have a fascination w/ mental illness. Soror said she had a relative that suffered from bipolar disorder and the book (and articles) came about as result of her own expereinces with this relative-- whom she declined to name. I think we know who that is now-- don't we. FYI: BiPolar disorder and Schizophrenia have now been closely linked by the medical community.
Cackhead, drugaddicts or what ever they are people and we need to have compassion fro them in some sort of positive way that could help. Because remember "When you hold someone down, you have to be down there yourself"
NOT TRUE...everybody that is mentally disturbed is not locked away. This is not just a person on crack. From her actions one can see that it is a combination of the the two. Just like the people that are filming her are the same type of people that used drugs with her. People know she is sick and has/had money so they prey on that... Instead of helping our brother and sisters we call them names and encourage these acts. Look around at the world...before you judge.
>>>>If it was a form a mental illness she wouldve been locked up a long time ago.....looks like a crackhead to me...
First of all, as an RN of 21 years who has worked in the substance abuse field and with MICA clients who are mentally ill, and abuse drugs, your comment is very ignorant. You need to educate yourself regarding the subject of mental illness and substance abuse. This woman suffers from an addiction to drugs and she is mentally ill. There are many people with her diagnosis who take medication daily and hold down jobs. They are stable and doing well. If anything, most mentally ill individuals are the ones who are abused and hurt by society and they ususally have to fear so called "normal people" who will hurt them because they are very vulnerable. The fact that they also abuse only makes their problems worse. This young lady needs help. She cannot make rationalize decisions at this time. I only hope that making her problem public, will assist her and her family in getting her off the street and into a drug treatment MICA program where she can receive much needed help.

This is sad to watch, but it is equally disturbing that the people filming her thinks she's humorous. Mental illness is not a laughing matter.
