Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of ABC-TV's talk show 'The View' had a nasty run-in with one of the female cast members of Bravo's new series 'The Real Housewives of D.C.,' and reportedly the situation got rather physical.
Five women from the series, Michaele Salahi, Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner, went on 'The View' to discuss how they were getting along on the reality show. Salahi, who made headlines last year for crashing Obama's first State Dinner with her husband, was being interviewed by co-hosts Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd.
The famed alleged gate-crasher got off topic and began saying how much she abhors people who assume she is an anorexic just because she is thin. Out of nowhere, Goldberg, who had been backstage during the segment, came out to nudge Salahi on getting back on topic with regard to the White House.
The encounter between Salahi and Goldberg, although mere seconds during airtime, turned into a major brouhaha after the segment was over. Salahi and her husband, Tareq, complained to producers that Goldberg's actions were "humiliating and torturous."
The newly minted reality star went on to tell People magazine in a phone interview the day after the occurrence happened, "It was very inappropriate. ... They want to torture me. I didn't know [being interviewed on 'The View'] would be this horrific."
ABC-TV released a statement saying Salahi had originally accused Goldberg of "hitting her," but when the social climber spoke to People magazine, she stated that the actress "grabbed" her.
Goldberg, who had a few choice words for the drama queen's exaggerations, denies hitting her. When Tareq intervened between Goldberg and his wife, however, the situation went to an even more volatile level.
Goldberg says Tareq "got in [her] face, had his BlackBerry out and started taking pictures of me. And needless to say, I really went off on him. And there was even more choice words. It was so choice, you could have cut it with a knife and eaten them." Salahi said that at this point, she sobbed uncontrollably and just wanted to leave the heated situation.
Regarding Wednesday's fiasco, Salahi told People, "Whoopi, I don't know you. I never saw 'Sister Act,'" she says. "I don't know much about her. The fact that I have had no encounters with her except this hostility, I don't know where it's coming from. It's just another really painful learning lesson."

She doesn't seem needy to the point of sticking with someone once the magic is gone. She won a freakin' Academy Award! The blonde bimbo is milking this for all she can, because she's a vapid idiot.
Whoopi has never been known to bite her tongue. The husband probably thought he'd humiliate her when he started snapping pictures but Whoopi intentionally makes herself look the way she does as a part of her image. She said so herself on Arsenio's show or some other. I don't believe she hit that woman. Her weapon is her tongue not her hand or fist. I guess Blondie didn't know who she was messing with when she went on that show. Barbara Walters would have done the same thing and not have allowed her to stray off topic and "do her on thing" on her show. Oprah, maybe? but not Whoopi, Rosie or Barbara. BTW, I didn't see the show.

Whoopi didn't do anything wrong as we saw on the tape, and she did admit her choice of words were a little over the top, but that's Whoopi. If someone accuses a person of doing something, and you didn't and then the husband starts shooting pictures of it, I feel anyone would have gotten angry.
For all Neilsen people that have this in their home, please do not watch this show nor watch it on the computer They are an embarrassment to our Country, to our service men and women and especially to our President.

I wish the Barbara Walters team never invited them in the first place. Whoopi didn't do anything wrong as we saw on the tape, and she did admit her choice of words were a little over the top, but that's Whoopi.
