(CNN) - Sarah Palin defended Dr. Laura Schlessinger on Thursday, comparing her own critics to those who have called for the resignation of the embattled radio talk show host in the wake of Schlessinger's repeated use of the N-word during a broadcast.
Palin's defense of Schlessinger, which Palin posted on her Facebook page, is the second time the former Alaska governor has defended the talk show host. Palin came to Schlessinger's defense on Wednesday via Twitter, telling the radio host: "don't retreat...reload!"
Palin expounded on those thoughts in the Facebook post.

"Does anyone seriously believe that Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a racist?" Palin wrote. "Anyone, I mean, who isn't already accusing all conservatives, Republicans, Tea Party Americans, etc., etc., etc. of being racists?"
National furor erupted when Schlessinger used the N-word 11 times in five minutes during an Aug. 10 call with an African American woman who was seeking advice on how to deal with racist comments from her white husband's friends and relatives.
The conversation evolved into a discussion on whether it's appropriate to ever use the word, with Schlessinger arguing it's used on HBO and by black comedians.

Schlessinger apologized the following day, saying, "I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the N-word all the way out – more than one time. And that was wrong. I'll say it again – that was wrong."
On Tuesday, Schlessinger told CNN's Larry King she was ending her show and was "regretful" over the incident. The talk show host also said she feels her freedom of speech rights "have been usurped by angry, hateful groups who don't want to debate – they want to eliminate."
On Thursday, Palin said the host's critics were unfair, and that she sympathizes with Schlessinger.

Well so much for the “conversation on race”. No doubt Dr. Laura was clumsy in her attempt. But after all the emotionalism is over and one reviews the facts, we learn Dr. Laura was talking about the “appropriateness” of the word, and nothing more, however clumsy and rude she may have been.
Here is the problem, some continue to call for this “racial dialogue”, they say “it’s a conversation the nations needs to have”, but when a person innocently skirts the issue, this is what occurs. She wasn’t even discussing race, and look at the reaction.

Why is the "N" word okay and the "R" word (retard) not. Free speech is free speech, right?

Then why not walk to a police Officer and use the "B" word...
Free Speech, right?
Why not drive 100Mph in the 30Mph zone..
Freedom of expression, right?
Free Speech is not what's being questioned, its abuses are.

My concern is, why are white folk so pre-occupied with having the right to say "n*gger, is my question? Also, Dr. Laura DID say something during that call I totally agree with. When you marry outside of your race, no matter the mix, BE PREPARED! There ARE members of the other spouse's race, who may not like you, it's that simple, and it could be due to your race! I mean, get used to that! For example, your white girlfriend's dad probably hates your guts, you and any other black person they see, if the boyfriend/husband is black. Is it right, NO, but does it and can it happen, YES. Get used to it, that's something Dr. Laura said that I do agree with, but just spouting off the work n*gger seemed to give her too satisfaction for my taste and although I don't think Dr. Laura is a closet racist, I think she's just very mean and ornery! Her and Judge Judy really need to take their hormone meds because they really can be nasty at times, while they think they are being helpful.

Bit-h, you don't have the right to shout FIRE in a crowded room. Does that make it clearer to you?
Freedom of speech does not permit you to insult and hurt the feelings of people. Especially when I don't have the right to punch you in the face for insulting me.
