According to TMZ, superstar producer Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Zachery Mosley, was the subject of a manhunt on Tuesday, after his family believed he was in danger of pulling a Fantasia and committing suicide. This news changed, though, when L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told 'Access Hollywood' on Wednesday that the police department was only contacted to find the unreachable star -- not to stop a suicide attempt.
But according to TMZ, law enforcement stated that his family was concerned that Timbaland might harm himself, after recently expressing how troubled he was about the theft of a $2-million piece of jewelry.
Wait, a piece of jewelry? The death of a loved one or the dashing of one's hopes and dreams maybe, but a piece of jewelry? It's called insurance, Timbo.
After receiving the call from Timbaland's family (you can listen to the 911 call here), the L.A. County Sheriff's Department put out a "possible suicide attempt" APB just before 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday, and a helicopter and squad cars were sent out on a hunt for the producer's Escalade.
Okay, who has an Escalade anymore? Anywho...
So let me get this straight...valuable resources in a cash-strapped state were used to hunt down a rich music producer who was upset about his watch?
I'm sure there are real crime victims in L.A. somewhere that are none too pleased about this scenario.
Here's what TMZ is reporting:
"Timbaland was on the phone earlier in the day with his brother-in-law ... deeply upset about something. We're told one of the things that was eating at him was a theft at his Malibu residence a day before. Someone had stolen a crazy expensive Jacob & Co. watch -- valued at $2 million -- and Timbaland suspected it might have been someone he trusted."
On the 911 call Timbaland's mother-in-law says:
"We have an emergency, he's [Timbaland] by a cliff in the canyons. He drove off in a car and he sent a text that he's just tired, tired of the stress, and he's been talking to my son on the phone, saying he's by a cliff on a canyon...."
As you can see, Timbaland apparently left his home yesterday in his wack Escalade, and after family members couldn't locate him, they became extremely worried and called the authorities.
The helicopter ultimately located the Escalade, ground crews pulled Timbaland over and began talking to him. At some point, they put Timbaland in a patrol car and took him to his residence, where they continued speaking with him and family members.
After being evaluated by paramedics, though, it was determined that he was not a threat to himself, and law enforcement left the scene. (Probably mumbling to themselves, "Are you f*cking kidding me?")
We're told the sheriff's department is investigating the theft of Timbaland's jewelry and that they have possible suspects. Timbaland's rep could not be reached for comment, but if TMZ says it, it's probably true.
I figure one of two things happened here: either his family overreacted and Timbaland is somewhere embarrassed by this whole thing OR he has a new reality show or album about to drop. Time will tell.

Timbaland is a very very talented Entertainer I doubt he would call all this attention for publicity or anything like such since he has never done anything like that before. To lose 2 million dollars in this economy is hard and more so if you thought a family member or close friend betrayed you like that. But TIMba nothing is worth your life you can make the money back and those who took it will be put to shame maybe you should re-evaluate your surroundings, you know those with access to your home should be limited to trust and should be fingerprinted just in case of something like that. Best of luck recovering your loss if not I am certain you will make it back and more.

Yes, why is the writer referring to his vehicle as "wack"? There is some underlying hate here! It sounds like it from the writer...A true writer is not full of drama but, should be full of talent..

Hey Christinaaa, I agree with you. No matter what kind of car anyone has all you can do is drive them til they stop. At least he has a car, so what its an escalade, its still a cadillac. Whats more its his. He's not bumming rides and profiling in someone else's ride. People who envy others for what they have or condemn them are doomed themselves.

OMG! I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to notice the undercover HATING going on here by this writer, LOL. Damn, what does the multiple references to the man's vehicle have to do with anything?? From the way this article was written you'd think Timbo stole this MF's watch (LMAO).

The author sounds jealous. Just because the man has money doesn't mean he's not human. He has feelings and so does his family. They were concerned. They love him. They called the police. "Wasting taxpayer's dollars to find him". Did they call in a swap team, the Navy Seals,etc...? The called the cops, okay. His house was broken into. Besides the material things he lost, the man felt violated. He has instincts. Someone he trusted violated him and his trust. That's some rough stuff there. It's more than money lost. It's having to accept betrayal, too. He needed time alone to process it all. I know how this feels. It's a deep cut when someone you love and trust steals from you. If they think they can get away with it, because you haven't figured it out yet, they will try to play you by keeping up the pretense of friendship. It's a deep cut. If you have any love for that person, their actions cut a piece of your heart away.

I think the writer of this article is a little more than sarcastic about this situation. Devilish is the term that comes to mind.
Even if this story is true and I'm very skeptical about what I hear and read, could it be that Timberland was upset at WHO stole from him and not WHAT was stole from him?

Poor, Poor, Poor Richman Timberland. My heart truly grieves for him, NOT!!! Anyone who spends 2 million dollars on a watch is a true jack azz. What the hell does anyone need with a two million watch when a regular $10.00 watch will display the same TIME. People are so damn materialistic it's sickening and pathetic. Grow the hell up Timberland and be a real man. You can take that 2 million dollar watch and give back to communities that are in need of the very basic neccesities; ie; Housing, Healthcare, Education, Food, Clothing. 2 million dollars can go a long way for people who have nothing.
A 2 million dollar watch whatta egotistical jackazz. In todays economical crisis why the hell would BV even print/display such a stupid article like this. BV I'm sure there's alot more interesting articles to and read then "Timberland losing his 2 million dollar watch."
And if anyone yall' smart azzez got something smart to say about my post bring it on cause I'll chop ya down too. Cause your oppinions about me or my posts don't mean crapola to me..
