Producer Timbaland needs to have a serious talk with his peeps.
On Tuesday, he was apparently the focus of a law enforcement manhunt amid concerns he might be suicidal.
His wife and mother-in-law called the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to say that he had left his Malibu home "upset and under a lot of stress" and they feared a "possible suicide attempt" because of a $2-million Jacob & Co. watch that was stolen from his home.
An APB was issued before 5 p.m., and a helicopter and squad cars were dispatched.
Timbaland came clean to Ryan Seacrest about the whole hot mess on Thursday in a brilliant, insightful and refreshingly candid statement:
"It ain't nothin' to worry about. ...I don't know what happened to be honest with you. I don't know what people are talking about. ...People steal from me all the time. Stuff did happen. It wasn't a watch; it was something else."
Brilliant! Well, there you have it, folks.
Timbaland made the statement from a recording studio where he is working on Keri Hilson's new album. The lesson to be learned here is when your family members call you, pick up your phone, or you, too, may be the target of a waste-of-time manhunt.

Wait ... Keri Hilson's coming out with a new album?! Someone call the police!

If Timbaland wants to come out on Ryan Seacrest show and tell his side of the story, why not tell what was really stolen? People are thinking a $2 million watch and talkin about how he spends his $$$$, people are starvin, kids need computers, ect...? Why doesn't he want to tell the public? What, was it a $2 Million ring or something? He said he gets stuff stolen all the time? Can you tell me, WHAT IS WRONG with dude? It seems to me, that he doesn't care and don't want to take care of the problem so I say, let people keep stealin from him. I didn't know that? ISH, I would care! Yeah Timbo, pick up the phone, and take that call when fam calls you. Ya don't want cops to be wasting $$$$ and time lookin for you next time.

It would have been nice if the comment, a man who has given so much back to the community could have followed the statement "family fears possible suicide attempt". 2 mil could do for the inner city, especially since those are the people who helped him to buy the watch. Maybe we should stop buying what he produces and put those few dollars back into the community. God bless the clebs who do care about giving back to the community. I would by from them any day!

I'm just glad that he's all right. Timz is one of my favorite artists from when I was still growing into adulthood. What's better: at least it wasn't his life that was stolen from us. You feel me? God bless everyone.

Who are any of us to say what people do or don't do.what are you doing to make a difference? instead of being negative. just because he doesn't list everything he has done for the world does not mean he hasn't.besides what he spends his money on is his busy not yours or the world to care about. and to add maybe he didn't here the phone!!! hello he was in a recording studio!!!!

Sounds like he's going through a lot of drama. I hope he can work it out and is okay. Some of you guys need to stop hating so hard. He makes great music. He's good at what he does. It's his money- he can spend it on whatever he wants. If he was a brain surgeon or the head of a computer company, I wonder if he would get more sympathy. Money doesn't buy happiness does it? Just ask Timbaland, Tiger Woods, Fantasia Burrino, Laurence Fishbourne, and whoever else has been in the news lately. Damn. Give me some of the money and people would be saying they are sick of me having a smile on my face all the time, and am I ever NOT on vacation? :O)
