T.I. and Tiny Arrested: Court Document Confirms Evidence of Sizzurp

T.I. Arrest -- Sippin' on Sizzurp?


Iconic rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, who were arrested earlier this month after police found drugs in their vehicle during a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles, may have had sizzurp in their car after all.


TMZ reports that T.I.'s parole officer just filed court documents in Georgia regarding what police found in the car: marijuana, ecstasy and codeine. When investigators from the county sheriff's office ransacked T.I.'s late model $400,000-plus luxe ride looking for evidence, they also stumbled upon four Styrofoam cups, two in the front and one in the back, with traces of a purple syrupy solution.

"Sizzurp," "Texas tea," "barre" or "purple drank" are slang terms for the recreational drug that is popular in the hip-hop community. The main ingredients in the prescription-strength purple liquid are codeine and promethazine. Typically, those who indulge in the concoction often mix the syrup with a soft drink and Jolly Rancher candies.

The documents also allegedly state that the 29-year-old megaceleb tested positive for opiates the day after he and Tameka were arrested; however, the papers do not mention what drug was in T.I.'s system.

Marijuana and ecstasy are not classified as opiates, but codeine is a derivative of opiates. It looks like T.I.'s situation is getting worse by the minute.
