One of the worst and most public allegations of racism against the New York Post came when a cartoon appeared in the paper showing police shooting a chimpanzee. As the chimp lie dead on the ground, the caption read, "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill."
Many felt that the cartoon was meant to be a direct reference to President Barack Obama. Obama was considered to be the primary force behind the stimulus plan, and comparing him to a monkey was reflective of the racially charged political climate at the time. Although editors denied the claims of racism, most of us could read between the lines.
I was happy to see Guzman file her suit against the New York Post. The post pushes quite hard to maintain its conservative disposition, which often appears to be racially divisive. The paper is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns Fox News.
One thing that the Obama administration can do to help combat workplace racism is to make it easier for employees to sue their employers when they are victims of discrimination. Additionally, the Federal Communications Commission can open the door for more black-owned media outlets, so that we are not all held hostage by the craziness we see on Fox.

In regard to your opinion to “make it easier for employees to sue their employers when discrimination is involved”, sounds good!
But what about the abundance of cases where the incident(s) are vindictive and for personal gain?
Shouldn't the employer now have it made easier for them to return the favor and sue the employee for playing the race card in haste?
Pick and choose you’re battles people or real issues of racism and discrimination get lost in a sea of self-serving “Falsehoods”
We all know this type of case is settled outside of court so we will never know (for certain)
Trivial point....The Cha Cha is of Cuban origin with West African roots as well.

Hey "The Truth".
Just curious, what in your opinion are the majority of racial discrimination suits. Are the majority "valid" or is the majority "frivolous"?

To Greg D.
Just I have observed many cases of sexual harassment have nothing to do with sex but only harassment,
I have equally observed many cases of racial discrimination having nothing to do with race, but only discrimination.
Typically and unfortunately many cases alleging harassment or possessing racial undertones are filed by disgruntled employees with vindictive self-serving monetary "settlement" goals in mind.
Due to this, cases with true validity become lost in the wash.
To your query I would consider the latter, but only in regard to one’s mal-intent and inability to grasp what should be a glaring difference.

This should be a lesson to the New York Post and any other employers. You hire blacks at your own risk ... you run a high risk of getting a "racial bias" lawsuit if you do. Blacks know this is a lucrative racket for themselves, and also know that they will have plenty of help if needed from race hustlers like Jackson and Sharpton, so long as they can get their cut of the ransom.
