LeBron James blames race for some of the negative backlash to 'The Decision,' the ESPN special where the free agent NBA superstar announced on national TV he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat.
During an interview on CNN Wednesday night, James and adviser Maverick Carter were asked by correspondent Soledad O'Brien if they think race played a role in negative coverage of the show and James' decision to leave his home state for South Florida.
Within a few months of the July 8 special, James' image was transformed from that of one of the country's most liked sports figures to the sixth-most disliked, according to a recent study by the Q Scores Company.

"I think so at times. It's always, you know, a race factor," said James, according to a CNN transcript.
Carter said he thought race "definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure."

say there uhh bob where is Roger Clemens, Ben Rothlisburger? Lebron didn't do anything immoral neither did Ochocinco but BEN there was accused of sexual misconduct of two women. Clemens had an affair with an underaged country singer.

Its just because the above named are black is your problem. Who cares what color they are if the are pigs and they are hated why do all the black on this site have to stick their noses in somthing that is none of their business!

An athlete who's not hiding behind women and money, who did not ignore the truth about "true" America! It's 1910 all over again! Arm yourself with wisdom and knowledge of the "true" American racist past!

Free rides for whom?
Who were you coerced into believing such a statement refers to?
Evidences in history does not support this slogan you and those of your ilk were given to parrot back without provocation. (Or win votes.)
Explain yourself.
While at it, also include who the biggest RACE CARD players were throughout history and the numbers of innocent lives that were senselessly murdered only because of ``how they looked``.
While fumbling over words, also include the term RACIST CARDS as well as the persons, places and many things that have abused the usage of it.
Amazing what can be found ``hidden`` on the UNDERSIDE of those conveniently skimmed surfaces.

I guess we should assume that anyone who disagrees with Lebron is a racist, sad but that is the way many blacks think in today's society. I guess David Stern who is jewish must be racist towards blacks, and all of Cleveland, whites only of course.
