Rapper Lil Wayne has been moved into what Rikers Island officials refer to as "punitive segregation," New York Department of Corrections Spokesman Stephen Morello confirmed to CNN. The artist began the prison stint back in March because of a gun possession charge.
The reprimand was handed down because of music-related contraband; it turns out that Wayne was caught with an MP3 charger and headsets during a search of his cell a few months ago. (Another inmate was caught actually holding the MP3 player.)
Lil Wayne, who was relocated to the isolated cell on Monday, is expected to spend 30 days there, which means he won't have contact with or circulate among the rest of the prison population. It also means that he'll spend 23 out of 24 hours inside the cell, with an hour of guard-supervised recreation.

WTF. Nobody is suppose to be locked up in america for gun possession. It is a constitutional right to bare arms in this country. why does nyc go so hard when it comes to guns? what is the fear? Are they afraid of an armed population who is increasingly getting fed up with the elitist controlling this oountry - especially the elite in nyc. this country is so damn punitive but the real criminals go unchecked. Nobody on wall street gets arrested. Nobody on wall street goes to prison. Why is that?
